Crowley picks up the bratty one first.
The little thing tries to fight him as it did earlier that day when Crowley caught it and its siblings, sticking their tiny noses where they didnât belong. The bratty one fought hardest of all, using every little trick and magic it had up its tiny sleeves. Crowley would have laughed it off, but some of it ended up hitting him hard enough to hurt. He bit back a groan before using some real magic to ensnare them all.
Itâs easy to spot the one heâs after. The bratty cherub is fat like a pigeon, and it makes the most lovely squeaking sounds when Crowley closes his fingers around its body with enough force to make it breathless, pulling it out of the enchanted basket. Its little siblings stare up in horror, their bodies paralysed, feathers and clothes in complete disarray.
Crowley hums, ignoring them, too busy examining the soft thing in his hold, enjoying the way the cherub is squirming, trying to free itself now that it is out of the basketâs field. Crowley doesnât blame it one bit; he knows his reputation precedes him, and the little thing must know what will happen next. Hell, maybe it is even looking forward to it. Cherubs are a kind of angel, after all, and all angels are a nasty lot.
Crowley would know. He used to be one.
He pulls the little thing as close as he dares so he can inspect its features more carefully. The cherubâs face is as chubby as the rest of its body, and Crowley feels his mouth water at the feel. He prefers his cock sleeves with a little padding on them.

Made an update to my list of Dark!Crowley fics since some of the stories listed as WiPs are now finished. Since the link to the list doesnât work for everyone, I list the stories in the post again. Stories are Top!Crowley unless stated otherwise.
Complete works:
âDream of Edenâ by sadwendigo. AU, very mysterious, dark and possessive Crowley. Now finished!
âSecond temptationâ by HipHopAnonymous.
âThe Power, the Statusâ by Shay-Moonsilk.
âMemory Tricksâ by Meridians_of_Madness, caution: very dark! Mind the tags.
âDemonic Possessionâ by Mossyrock, only dark-ish, but hot nonetheless.
âAngleterreâ by Scusi
âA Certain Depth of Feelingâ by childrenofthesun, maybe not really dark Crowley but nice Crowley being overwhelmed by his dark side.
âOut of the darkness (then we supercollide)â by Vagabond. (Not completely Top!Crowley)
The âIneffable instinctsâ series by Buckets_of_stars. Crowley/Aziraphale stories in an A/B/O universe.
The âThe Art of Temptationâ series by redundant_angel. Dark-ish Crowley
âIâve got you under my skinâ by redundant_angel, post-canon, Crowley has to possess Aziraphale to appease Hell. Now finished. Note: Bottom Crowley
WIPs
âMaster Crowleyâ by DemonsAreMoreInteresting. The first âHell winsâ AU I ever read. Very captivating but still in progress with irregular updates.
âThe other sideâ by fanlan. Chapter 1 was very painful in a good way, but thatâs another one I am behind on. Script and Show Aziraphale end up in each otherâs universe. Itâs a much needed coping mechanism after reading the 1992 Good Omens script. ;)
âUnknowableâ by quinoaquin, completely Human AU (no supernatural elements, at least so far), extremely dark!Crowley, please read the authorâs tags and warnings.
What about a fic where Crowley is actually evil? He doesn't care about his side's plans, although he does find them fun. But the one person he does actually care about, could never hurt, and would defy everyone for is Aziraphale? Of course, once Aziraphale realizes just how bad Crowley is, he's horrified. Maybe he even decides to cut contact with the demon. Only, what horrifies him even more is that he still enjoys running into Crowley. And Crowley knows this.
Iâve got a few things to get down before I copy the fic in here so here we go! First up, thank you ever so much for waiting so very long because I, a soft lesbian, cannot for the life of me figure out how to write Crowley, a dumbass softie at heart, into a Dark figure. It took me a long time and a bit of help. Iâd also like to say I have spent about an hour and a half writing this, it took the rest of the time to figure it out. Iâm sorry about the wait, basically. Secondly! I really hope you enjoy it! Or that it meets some expectations! Or both! Both preferably but hey ho. Thirdly! This is as dark as I could get Crowley to go and personally I donât think itâs very dark, sorry about that :D So! Enjoy! Let me know what you thought if you want!Â
âGoodnight, angel.âÂ
The bookshop door closes behind Crowley with a gentle ring of the bell and Aziraphale keeps smiling, softly to himself, as he sets his empty wine glass down on his desk next to the one Crowley had been drinking out of. Itâs almost midnight and if it werenât for Crowley having to go on assignment up to North Wales then theyâd still be drinking and laughing. But as it is, heâs got to get up and lock the doors before picking a book to settle down with. Itâs going to be a long week without Crowley to pop by and go out to dinner with.Â
Heâs just pushing himself to his feet, wobbling a little. He should sober up. Which he doesnât particularly feel like doing, heâs only just edging into drunk instead of tipsy which is an ever so pleasant place to be. That is until a harried looking man barrells through the door with a crash, a small bell in one hand and a lighter in the other. He looks like heâs seen a ghost. Aziraphale sobers up instantly.
âHello,â Aziraphale says, slightly awkwardly, âis everything alright? Itâs just that weâre closed and I donât reallyââ
âYouâre under attack!âÂ
Aziraphale stops dead, frowning. âI beg your pardon?â
âAttack! I swear to yaâ, I saw the witch âere, just now! Outside yaâ shop.â
The man doesnât look insane, isnât twitching or switching to talking to himself. Heâs blond and wearing a dull coat with strange patches on but other than that doesnât seem particularly extraordinary.
âIâm afraid I donât understand still. Oh! Oh, have you been drinking?â
The man splutters and shakes his head before stashing his bell back in a coat pocket. He tries to peer through one of the front windows, leaning over piles of books. Aziraphale reaches out to tug him back then aborts the motion when the man spins back around, looking ever so slightly calmer.Â
âDid âe come in âere?âÂ
âWho?â
âThe witch!â
âUh,â Aziraphale clasps his hands behind his back. âNo, no witches here. Who did you say you were, by the way?â
âShadwell,â the man puffs his chest out, âSergeant Shadwell, at your service, sir.â
Aziraphale nods and pointedly does not offer his own name in return. âAnd youâre here becauseâŚ?â
âTo protect yaâ, sir. Iâve been trailinâ this particular evil beinâ for some time now. Since I spotted âim up to no good in an alley earlier this eveninâ.â
Aziraphale nods without actually knowing why because heâs still at a loss. He must mean Crowley, no one else had been near the shop all day, Aziraphale had made sure of it so he could restore one of his prophecy books in peace. Well, it was only Crowley. Worst he ever did was drown a duck.
âAh, I see. Well, all is well, as you can see.âÂ
Shadwell shakes his head, wagging his finger imperiously at Aziraphale who leans back a little. âNo, no, sir. Youâve not seen what âe was doinâ before I found âim âere again.â
âOh?â Aziraphale says, grudgingly realising that this man isnât going to be turned away so easily.
âI saw this all with my own two eyes, no doubt âbout it.â
And Aziraphale, to his creeping horror, could do nothing but listen as this man who didnât even know Crowleyâs name recounted act after terrible act that heâd seen the demon (or witch, to Shadwell) have a hand in. From car accidents to separating children from parents on a busy street to slipping a knife to a man following a shadow into an alley. Aziraphale listened and paled and wished for a chair to sit down in. When Shadwell came to a close, clearly pleased with Aziraphaleâs rapt attention, he pulled out his lighter again, clicking it on and off absentmindedly.Â
âYou-? You saw him do all this in one evening?â
âSure as the sky is blue, sir.â
âRed hair? Tall, skinny? Drives a Bentley?â
Shadwell nods.Â
Aziraphale summons a chair. That couldnât be right. Crowley wasnât- he wasnât truly- he was Crowley. Heâd never done such things! Would never. ExceptâŚat leastâŚnot when Aziraphale was with him. But Crowley spent time apart from Aziraphale, theyâd gone centuries without talking so who was to say what he got up to then? Shadwell was blinking at him, jaw slack. The chair. Right. Aziraphale sighs and with a wave of his hand takes Shadwellâs memories of what heâd seen Crowley and Aziraphale do, he replaces them with a long ghost tour of London and sends him out the door with a pat on the back and a âplease donât come backâ. Shadwell still insists on giving him his card for the âWitchfinder army. Aziraphale thinks that that explained rather a lot.Â
The door now closed again and finally locked, Aziraphale watches his hands start to shake before his eyes. He turns, leaning back on the door. Looking at nothing. He slumps to the ground, pinching at the fabric of his trousers. This couldnât be true. Not Crowley. Not his CrowleyâŚÂ
His demon Crowley.
The demon Crowley.
The adversary.
***
He drags himself back to his feet hours later. His head feeling like itâs full of wool. Heâd tried to deny it, had agonised over it but deep down he knows that Shadwell wasnât lying. Knows that heâs had an inkling of what Crowleyâs been up to for years but has turned a blind eye to keep his own willful ignorance. A bubble of ignorance that has now been shot dead. He takes a deep breath and picks up the phone.Â
âCrowley?â He asks when the call connects to the answering machine. âI- Crowley, I need you to come to the bookshop as soon as you get thisâŚplease? UmâŚI just, we need to- Iâm- Iâve heard fromâŚJust, please? Okay. So. Yes. Iâll be here.âÂ
He sets the phone down on the cradle and collapses into the armchair. At worst he has a week to wait until Crowley comes over. Heâs not even entirely sure that he wants Crowley to heed his call, isnât sure he wants to go through with this. But he also cannot see a way back. Thereâs no plan for this, no script or routine to dance through. Heâs got to make a decision, one that sickens him to his core. Does he stay in their arrangement despite knowing full well the sins Crowley is willfully committing or does he leave? Cut ties? Theyâve not been as subtle as they could have been with their feelings. Aziraphale knows without a doubt that Crowley wouldnât hurt him, wouldnât turn his dark ways on him because the demon is painfully in love with him. He knows that. Knows it as strongly as heâs known since the Blitz that heâs just as in love with Crowley. Or at leastâŚhe was.Â
He doesnât have to wait long. As it turns out Crowley hadnât left for Wales yet, had been in his apartment to hear the call. The demon bursts through the doors in much the same fashion Shadwell had not so long ago. Aziraphale startles but stays in his seat.Â
âAziraphale? Where are you? Are you okay? I got your message,â Crowley calls, Aziraphale can hear him moving closer, âyou sounded like you were in trouble, where are- Angel?â
Crowley stands in front of him, in his pyjamas and without his sunglasses. Aziraphale forces himself to hold steady and clasps his hands in his lap.Â
âCrowley, thank you for coming.â
Crowley frowns in confusion and runs a hand through his hair. âYeah, âcourse I did. Is everything okay?â
âNot exactly,â Aziraphale says, he doesnât point to the sofa as he normally would and Crowley takes it as a sign to keep standing.
âWell? What is it?â
âI learnt some things tonight, after you left,â Aziraphale hesitates, âAbout you.â
âMe?â
Aziraphale nods. Crowley sits on the arm of the sofa, a guarded look in his eyes.Â
âI- Crowley, I know what youâve done. What youâve been doing for years behind my back.â
âAngel? What are youââ
ââI realise now that Iâve been, well, silly for thinking you were different. You are a demon and I should have remembered that more.â
ââthe hell are you saying?â
Aziraphale drops Crowleyâs gaze, drifting to look at the books behind his shoulders. âI know what you do. The temptations that arenât the simple things like an extra dessert or a bit of gambling. The- the âaccidentsâ youâve engineered. I can only imagine the worst of it you mustâve had a hand in over the years.â He laughs, mirthless. Self-deprecating.Â
He glances back to see Crowleyâs reaction. The demon has shut down. His jaw clenched tight and his hands on his knees, knuckles white. Heâs looking at Aziraphale in a way that the angel cannot recognise nor name.Â
âHow?â
âIâm not going to tell you that, Crowley.â
Crowley nods once. ââCourse you wonât. What you going to do, then? Smite me at last?â
Aziraphale blanches. He hadnât even thought of that. âNo!â
âReally? Iâve been lying to you, angel. Doing things worse than you could imagine and theyâve all been my choice. My decision. So why not? Whatâs holding you back?â Crowleyâs voice has risen to a near shout, a wild glint in his serpentine eyes that is familiar to Aziraphale.
âEvil? Demonic? Any one will do, Aziraphale. Itâs what I am.â Crowley stands and stalks over to him, hands on either arm rest as he leans over the angel. âYou know, Iâd let you. Smite me, I mean.â
Aziraphale frowns, breaking his composure for the first time. âDonât say that.â
âItâs true.â
âI wouldnât.â
âI know.â
Crowley pushes away again. Aziraphale stands too, theyâre chest to chest and Aziraphale doesnât know what heâs doing. Heâs an angel. Crowley is right. He should be smiting and having his divine vengeance.Â
âWhy do you do it?â he asks, for lack of any other concrete thoughts to verbalise. âThose things, theyâreâŚI want to know why.â
Crowley shrugs. âFun? Itâs no worse than what they do to each other. Iâm just helping them along. Doing some of the work for them. Taking the weight off their shoulders, one might say.â
âThen why do we have the arrangement?âÂ
Crowley tenses, voice deepening in an attempt at threatening but Aziraphale knows this voice. Knows every tone and modulation. Has heard every crack and snap and hiss over the past few millennia. âYou know why. The same reason you havenât sent me into oblivion.â
Aziraphale doesnât have anything to say to that. Doesnât have any idea how to progress. Crowley, on the other hand, has imagined this scenario a thousand times over. Has stressed over it and worried and lost sleep over it. Itâs gone better than he expected. No need to push. He turns for the door. Aziraphale doesnât stop him.
i know you're looking for more fics about Dark Crowley and (i don't know if you've seen this already so sorry in advance if you have) i found one titled 'oh, i'm gonna be your bruise' by OAbsalom on ao3. do mind the tags though, it's really really dark.
Never hesitate to rec me fics! Even if you know that I know them already and just want to yell how great they are, please do! When I read a good fic, I want to tell people about it, too!
In that case I know the fic, but still am glad you recommended it because it is not on my Dark!Crowley list yet.

The other day I found a very good dark!Crowley fic, so I thought I would give a rec in case you didn't know this one yet, sorry if you already do! It's The Fallen by Bloodrose84, already finished and very good.
Sorry for the late reply, but today I finally found the time to finish the fic.
Thank you so much for the recommendation. Itâs a very intriguing and well-written story about a rather demonic selfish Crowley and his change and growth during the centuries. So for anyone interested, here it is:
The Fallen by Bloodrose 84
54k of words in 20 chapters and itâs finished so no desperate waiting for an update. ;)
You write Dark!Crowley right? Have you ever wrote stalker!Crowley? Just Crowley watching (and obsessing) about Aziraphale at a distance over the years, getting jealous at anyone who touches him. Aziraphale has no clue it's happening.
Oh, I donât think any of my stories match this description, but itâs a fascinating concept. I think I once started reading a human AU with a similar premise, but it was a WIP and I lost track of it after a while.
But in a universe where they are still an angel and a demon and therefor immortal, it would be even more extreme. Just watching and obsessing for 6000 years sure is something. ;)
