I think the disconnect between transmascs and transfems when it comes to discourse between us has to do with the difference in the way power shifts when we transition.
"Man" and "male" (as a social class) are incredibly fragile boxes. As soon as transfems begin to transition, they lose their access to male privilege. Because of this, it seems intuitive to many of them to believe that it works the exact same for transmascs in the opposite direction. However, I believe that the reason why transfems so easily lose male privilege is the same as why transmascs can never attain it. Manhood as a social class is simply too exclusive for a transmasc to ever reasonably be a part of it. The female social class, however, is far more inclusive, as it keeps all of the leftovers (including all trans people). Whether born into it or not, and whether woman-identified or not, we are all lumped in together as women, as systematically inferior. When transmascs speak up about this, we are often shut down and told we're just invalidating our own identity, and I simply do not agree. "Woman" as an axis of oppression and "woman" as an identity are two separate things. The latter cannot exist without the former, but the former can absolutely exist without the latter. We are not living in a fantasy world where misogynists are super trans-positive and gender affirming. It doesn't matter if I say I identify as a man. They just see a gender-confused masculine woman, an even worse type of woman. Anyway, ramble over. I love every transfem who stands beside the transmascs in her community. Being a masc is not only being the target of violent misogyny, but the easy scapegoat for those frustrated or disillusioned with misogyny.
I think deep down those who are transandrophobic and/or butchphobic know they're targeting a marginalized group, but they'll never admit that to themselves. The fact is, not only are they disillusioned with cis men, they're terrified of them, as we all are. So, instead of calling out cis men, we are used as placeholder punching bags. They say all the things they wish they could say to cis men to us, while ultimately doing nothing productive but getting their own frustrations out. All the while, cis men continue to correctively rape and kill us.
Cisgender women are equally as likely to perpetuate this, but it's especially heartbreaking when it comes from women within the trans community, seeing as they experience a very similar kind of scapegoating, with similar language.
Stop feminizing trans men. I am so serious rn. Cut that shit out!!! Leave masculine trans dudes alone. Leave straight/lesbian trans dudes alone. If you personally as a trans guy are entirely male-attracted/gay, that's fine. If you as a trans guy are feminine, you're fine with having female secondary sex characteristics, you wear skirts/dresses and you wear makeup, you do you. Now stop pressuring masculine, woman-attracted trans men to do the same. Stop calling trans men dainty little hairless femboy twinks who love big alpha cis guys. It honestly feels like it's an excuse for homophobic people to continue to comfortably view us as straight girls with funny little girly identities slapped on top. Especially since the same people who do this to trans men would never do it to a cis man. Masculinity, sapphic attraction and gendernonconformity are inherent parts of my identity. They are not lesser than femininity, or closer to the heteropatriarchy. Also related, I feel like we should be a little more careful with the "lol every trans guy who was a lesbian pre-transition becomes bisexual/gay" kind of statement. This is applicable to some trans men, but it is not a universal experience. I know personally as someone who did identify as a lesbian pre-transition, this sort of sentiment just made me feel pressured to force myself into being attracted to cis men. I'm honestly not sure how I kept that up for so long, seeing as I've never felt even the slightest bit of attraction towards a cisgendered male, pre or post transition. But, I felt as though I had to keep trying until I could feel that attraction in order to be properly accepted in the community.

You know, my thing is, I actually don't really care if that one Bible verse was against homosexuality or not. I don't get why that's something we spend so much time defending, especially those like me who are staunchly atheist. My morality/livelihood isn't dictated by Christian opinion.
