I hate how people write scaramouche in a modern school setting, I have no idea where they even got the notion he acts like that as well seeing how he never acted anywhere near close.

He isn’t a bully and he’d likely be in or close to the student council. He’s not one to cause any conflict unless it benefits him or the conflict involved him in the first place. He would not skip any classes nor would he make fun of anyone without being provoked and he’s likely a very quiet person naturally unless there’s something he wants to say. This “bad boy school bully scaramouche” is so alien to me. Not saying he isn’t teasing however. He still is.

I also think wanderer would be slightly more socially outgoing than scaramouche, it’s noticeable to everyone but no one brings it up.

On that topic like to say Lohen isn’t starting school fights but rather he’s in a boxing club with Childe. Lohen is smart enough to know the time and place for a fight, what’s acceptable and what isn’t. He might skip classes yes, i don’t believe he’d be some kind of crazy guy everyone is afraid of but just intimidating for people to talk to, he’s definitely the actual “class clown” character seeing how he likes to play pranks on others

I do feel like he’d get bored in class easily if it isn’t a subject he enjoys, he’s oddly good at biology and chemistry too,

Godlings were harmless. Mischievous? Certainly. But they would hurt a man no more than a child would. He couldn’t kill an innocent creature for pulling a few pranks and being different. Which means that this little excursion was a complete waste of time, energy and food, and he would see not a single coin for his trouble.

The Godling blinked up at him with, hm, what was that? Fear? Wonder? Guilt..?

“Yes mister, a Godling is what I am. Please don’t be angry with me!”

The Godling shuffled its tiny feet in the dirt, looking down at them as if they were suddenly the most interesting thing in all of the lands.

Geralt’s eyes fell closed, an exasperated “hm” vibrating deep in his chest. 

“What did you do?”

“I took them chickens, I did, but I didn’t mean no harm by it, mister, I promise!” The Godling looked up at Geralt with its unnervingly big eyes, it’s bottom lip beginning to tremble slightly.

“It’s just, I needed the people to put up a notice! Needed the ‘elp of someone such as yerself!”

Geralt dropped his pack to the floor, rubbing his temples.

“Go on.”

“Well, see, I got lost out here all on me own,”

“And you’re how many years old? 500?”

“563, actually! But that don’t make no difference. Still lost, still alone.”

“This won’t take long, will it? I’m on my way to meet someone.”

“Oh! Who is it?!”

“He’s a... hm.” Geralt shifted his weight slightly, taking his turn now to find a sudden great interest in his boots. He scuffed at the dirt with a toe.

“A friend?” the Godling gave Geralt a mischievous look, “Witcher’s don’t ‘ave friends!”

“Yes, that’s what I keep telling him.”

“He sounds very persistent! I think we would get along swimmingly!” The Godling began skipping off in front of Roach, singing an ancient tune to itself without a single care in the world.

In the Midst of Grief

Everything seems to stop the moment they tell you

Or, rather, it's more like you stop

And you can only focus on one tiny thing at a time

The lingering smell of their perfume in the air

The idle desire to hold something

The simple act of remembering to breathe

And the mere idea of trying to take on more than one of these tiny tasks is so overwhelming you can't think

Not that you're thinking well anyway

That stillness, numbness, it lingers

If an object in motion stays in motion then it stands to reason that one that's come to a stop will stay at a standstill

And you're at a standstill

But the world, it keeps going

And everyone around you wants to help but it's so much noise and the same questions you still don't have the answers to over and over and over again until you just want to scream

If you had the energy to scream, anyway

How are you holding up?

Do you want to talk about it?

Is there anything you need?

You don't know what you need

You haven't known for months

You think you're supposed to cry at some point and god wouldn't it be a relief if you could but the tears get stuck in your throat so that you just choke instead

And some moments seem almost normal, for just a breath, before you remember why you're not okay and it's like those first seconds all over again

They tell you that it'll get better with time

That one day you'll wake up and the hurt will be a little less

But when?

What day?

When does the weight in your chest stop suffocating you?

No one has that answer and in the end it's as hollow a pleasantry as all the rest

And like all their hollow words it leaves you feeling alone

You will never feel more alone

More invisible

More like a ghost watching from the sidelines as you and everyone else go through the motions of a life that will never be the same as it could have been

Than you will when in the midst of grief

This is loss

Some more of my wanderer headcanons because i really like him

Since he was a puppet and most of the harbingers didn’t care to ask if he needed to eat or not, resulting in them not saving him a spot or making sure something was prepared for him. he’d purposefully show up during the feasts and ask where his portions were just to see the chefs and other harbingers look around for someone to explain. This eventually stopped when columbina felt bad for him and would offer him her food instead to which she would then make it so he always got a plate or treat with everyone. Although he might not have eaten anything anyways since he just likes to watch others.

I don’t think he can handle alcohol well and it’s why he prefers tea, a few different reasons I feel for this. His tastebuds are a bit more sensitive and he doesn’t like tasting the “aged” part in aged wine and some cheeses. He just simply can’t handle wine like others no matter how long he tried for a tolerance, was a bit funny to see him leave earlier than usual due to being tipsy although it was probably out of fear of being seen vulnerable.

A lot of people think he’s cold to the touch or slightly warm due to his internal fans I think he’s as hot or cold as whatever environment or room he’s in. He’s made of wood and some mechanical features yet almost always described as a porcelain doll in fics funnily enough.

I need a barbatos x reader fic where the reader is questioning their religious beliefs cause like, they’ve been a follower of almost every archon(except for the anemo archon) and haven’t felt like at home or anything and so they pray to him at the church of favonious and venti shows up instead with some bomb ass wisdom and they slowly become friends cuz every time reader is at the church venti is there or dahlia pulls reader to the side to tell them a message specifically for them from barbatos the anemo archon himself

Saw someone who pointed out how wanderer and scaramouche are not very good liars, which is so cute and funny like wdym the 500 year old puppet, who worked for the biggest and baddest people is not a good liar? He’s so pure of heart

Imagine being the first ever fan of singer scaramouche, you’ve gone to all his concerts, fan meet and greets, etc you have a huge collection of any and all merch that has dropped and now you’ve been sent a very special pass for back room access where… he asks you out on a date

I mean just, over the years he’s gotten so familiar with your presence it’s even a small rumor that your an assistant to him with how often he’s personally reached out to collaborate with you, not to mention how easy it is for him to spot you in the crowds now. Somehow you always get front row closest to him, some concerts you’ve been personally taken upon stage even if the performance didn’t call for it

It was an obvious favoritism but a peculiar one, he wasn’t the kind of person to seek someone out and even though he loved his fans to death many knew how drained he’d get from doing such interactions being a bit of an introvert and all. But that doesn’t matter to him, your special, you’ve been supportive of him throughout his entire career, since his very first song on SoundCloud years ago to now where he’s rebranded to “Wanderer”

You never left, you never blindly followed every little thing he did, you called him out when he needed grounding but you never stopped supporting him. You didn’t idolize him in the usual way, you were someone who could be akin to wanting to see your favorite plant grow, nurturing it but not conforming it to your expectations, you let him spread his wings.

So the least he can do, after this many years is have a special meeting with you to actually thank you for your gratitude and support. And maybe because even during all these years your the light that shown the brightest towards him when he was in his darkest days
