As someone who has cyanophobia i absolutely hate it when people reduce Wei Wuxian's fear as a comic point...or God forbid try to 'cure' him in fanfics by exposure to puppies .....like oh the dogs you met just weren't trained you won't be scared of puppies they are so cute.....guess what exposure never helps. I was attacked by a classmate's dog in seventh grade. I am still terrified of them. Everytime I see a dog within 10 feet of me I get panic attacks. I have passed out from a panic attack once when a so called 'well meaning' friend tried to get me to touch her puppy. Just because you don't understand someone's phobia doesn't make it invalid or silly. I wish people understood that.
