I'm trying to work on a few different projects at the same time. Or at least start working, on a few different projects. I am hoping to be able to repaint and work on my Hujoo Wings soon. So, I took some photos of him, and my repainted and rebodied MGA Novi Stars Una Verse. Whom I love dearly! I had forgotten how much I love Una! She was the first Novi Stars doll I purchased. I can't recall if she was the first ever MGA doll I ever owned, but more likely than not, she was.

Of course, I own two of her. That's the only way I feel comfortable modifying most mass-produced fashion dolls... I rebodied her soon after I got a second one to unbox, onto a Monster High body. I always thought it made more sense, based on their OG artwork. Ideally, I wanted her on the Monster High Create A Monster Ice Girl body, but I was sadly never able to get that kit. I got a few of the other ones, but not that specific one. So, I settled for one of Abbey's. Which, I don't hate, but it is too pale, in comparison to Una's slightly darker blue plastic.

I am not planning on repainting her, ever again! I am not saying this is my magnus opus, but removing her eyes was a huge pain in the lower back. It was the one time I did it without cutting into the plastic, and I never plan on doing that again. I've never successfully masked acrylic eyes, on dolls with inset eyes (for removing factory paint). So, I rather her say this way forever. I just want to give her a nice dress and maybe nicer hair. I don't completely dislike her factory hair; I just don't like the texture or volume. I was able to make it softer by washing, then heat straightening it with a flat iron. Finally using a dryer sheet. However, it is still so puffy. I want it to be sleek and longer. Making a wig would be the only option however, but I am not sure I want to do that, since I do enjoy how the hair looks minus the bulk. It's something I'll have to think about very carefully, since I can't actually get another Una, without paying so much more than I am willing to.

She is borrowing my IMC Toys VIP Hair Makeover Megan's dress in most of these. I want to try making a similar dress for her. I don't know what the name of the fabric of Mega's dress is called -- they closed down all JoAnn's Fabric stores, if I am not mistaken. They at least closed the one nearest to me, so finding fabric locally will be a pain in the gut hole. Una's OG dress is metallic silver, with a ballon blue tule skirt. I don't know I can recreate that, but I would like something in the same vein. As well as some similar shoes, or at the very least some black maryjanes. Which I doubt MH has (or that they wouldn't be expensive to acquire), without too much sculptural detail.

I've just finished Anna! She was a commission and I got asked if I could repaint her with a sad look, recreating the funeral of her parents and last part of "Do you want to build a Snowmen?". Her base doll was the 17`Disney Store Frozen Fever Anna LE doll, since that doll used to have tinsels and an updo, I removed them and restyled her hair into braids. I also rooted her white-blonde streak. To achieve her sad look I (took of her factory paint and) reshaped her face, making her`browbone`lower and removing her `dimples` by reshaping and molding them. I then repainted her face using high quality artist acrylic paint and soft pastels for shading and blushing. Everything is sealed . Her lashes were trimmed. Anna will get her funeral dress made, she's on her way! I'm really glad with how she turned out! I really hope you like her, too!  :)

I promise I didn't ask myself, " can I make a hyper-cutesy-looking-doll, hyper-creepy-looking, or what!" Lol! I always wanted to try my hand at repainting one of the Lol OMG dolls, particularly the male ones. When I got my Rocker Boi back when the doll released a few years ago, I thought he would be perfect for me to try. I got two, so I could keep one in box (he comes with Punk Girl). Sadly, he is a plastic shade of sun-burned red IRL. So, I kept putting that repaint off. I did make a mockup, and even planned on replacing his default body with the Mattel BTS body (I own too many, and don't really need any of them now! Lol!). His default body is too tiny for my taste, I would rather have a taller broader version of it, but there's nothing of the sort, that I know of. I am not a fan of the BTS body either, but that's probably the palest mass-produced body I own too many of, that I don't have to import and already have a million of them. So, I'll be keeping this dude on that body for a while.

My mockup for this repaint/mod has tinier eyes, and chipmunk cheeks. I don't know why I did that with the cheeks, there's no way in hell I can do that to this sculpt. I do want him to have much smaller eyes though. But I had to fill in the sculpted eyes with my old rusty Aves Apoxie Sculpt a million years ago, when I got this doll, because the LoL OMG eyes are massive!! And they are literally sculpted to be deeply carved onto the head. I had a huge pain in the lower back sanding all of that as flat as possible, without making the sculpt completely flat or ruin it in the way. I still need to mod/flatten it a bit further (the eye area), but I didn't have to add any filler as I had feared. The first time I modified him, and repainted him, I feared I had done a sh1tty job because my Apoxie was so old. However, I lucky didn't had to do any additional, additive mods. Just needed to sand a million years more! And I'll probably need to sand even further to get the tiny eyes I want, next time!

I'm really proud to present you the doll repaint I've been working on for months: Sally from 'The Nightmare before Christmas'! This doll was  a lot of work, a lot, really, to do since the base doll was the 17' Disneystore singing Rapunzel doll, so the first thing I did was to remove her hair and reroot it with dark red nylon hair. I then started to remold and reshape her face with an electric file and air drying clay. I removed her ears, chin, jaw, mouth and nose completely so I was able to mold everything new, I also made her face overall rounder and molded her eyes a lot bigger. The face alone took me over an month to make.
