i mean obviously i had to gif this right. the knitted cardigan, the soft eyes and smiles, the swoop, the scruff <333 PERFECTION.
also love the fact that he just had to swear a little. if one day he stops youāll know heās been abducted by aliens and replaced by an android life model decoy (cookies for those who know the movie reference š)

Lost Without Words - An observerās experience of the rehearsal process
āI donāt mean to be ageist, but I really love old people. I love their abundant stories, the quiet power of their life experience, the way they can so easily not give a damn. I love the way they are comfortable in their clothes, the spats they have with their aching limbs, their courage and determination, and the occasional cackles and hisses that might spark out of them...

the moment i saw/heard his choice of self introduction i knew this was going to turn out to be a way crackier post than the gifs at the end of the video š¤£
pretty sure he felt awkward bragging about his past work while recording a clip on his phone alone, so he decided to use an obscure reference that mainly only students/staff/alumni at cssd (and stalkers of his brotherās twitter account) would recognize. as well as not so subtly complaining that it should get fixed lol.
honestly though, he has such an epic career that deciding to go with āhi guys you might know me from... stairsā is so underwhelming and anticlimactic a self-introduction that its actually hilarious. as well as the underlying implication that everyone already knows who he is so thereās no need to lol. GENIUS.
Hardy, who has a magnificent singing voice, is excellent as the troubled, frustrated writer, based for much of the show, tapping away at a typewriter, on a paper strewn desk, parked down stage right.
