CHICAGO STUDIO Industrial Design students made it onto the front page of a huge ID blog, Core77 today!! Congrats and keep up the great work! Thanks for all the support along the way! We are one week into the campaign and 50% funded!
Industrial Design students Caleb Rancourt, Chris Kitchen, Claire Buttefield, Amanda Phung, Morgan Matt, and Stephanie Pekala have been working with DesignHouse this semester to help revitalize local manufacturing through design. Last night they helped host a DesignJam, a large community brainstorm, centered around a local sand-casting facility named Universal Electric Foundry. The foundry has slowly been losing business and now they have no work and are unsure what to do about it. DesignHouse will take the numerous ideas that came out of last night's jam and further ideate upon to hopefully #savethefoundry.
Display your photos as quickly as you take them, and join us in revitalizing U.S. manufacturing. Community designed and locally made.
Our students collaborated with DesignHouse to co-launch a kickstarter today! Please check out #REVEAL and share it with your friends and family! It is for a great cause! #SupportLocal
