This was suggested by MarioFM for May's Patreon thank you post! Before this, I hadn't drawn Baron in over seven years, and he looked quite a bit different back then! But I redesigned him a bit to fit my modern skills and art style, and I love how badger-like he looks now. I think I want him to be a gentle giant, but I have more to figure out with him, including settling on his backstory.

On a roof terrace, which offers a view over an oriental city in the evening light, a man sits cross-legged. His clothes, the carpets and the brass-coloured water pipe evoke an atmosphere of subtle luxury.
On closer inspection, action unfolds, in the upper right-hand corner a delicate hand appears behind a curtain. It seems to have just dropped the rose that lies in the foreground. Following this ‘sign of love’, the protagonist turns upwards and makes eye contact.

Panchen Lama
The Panchen Lama is a tulku of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. The Panchen Lama is one of the most important figures in the Gelug tradition, with its spiritual authority second only to the Dalai Lama. Along with the council of high lamas, he is in charge of seeking out the next Dalai Lama. Panchen is a portmanteau of Pandita and Chenpo, meaning "great scholar".
The recognition of Panchen Lamas began with Lobsang Chökyi Gyaltsen, tutor of the 5th Dalai Lama, who received the title "Panchen Bogd" from Altan Khan and the Dalai Lama in 1645. Bogd is Mongolian, meaning "holy". Khedrup Gelek Pelzang, Sönam Choklang and Ensapa Lobsang Döndrup were subsequently recognized as the first to third Panchen Lamas posthumously.
