I want to 3d print a model of BT-7274 from Titanfall but I also don't have money for that shit and I don't think my library will let me use their 3d printers. The trinket collection will have to wait
Idk man I think titans that have been around long enough develop their own personalities
Just like people, a machine that needs to learn about its surroundings is going to learn about the people surrounding it. And you really only see two titans during cut scenes in game, but those two titans are BT and MOB, and we all know and love BT but if you pay attention to MOB during the cutscene where BT grabs Cooper like a hot dog and shoves him into his cockpit like a dog chewing on something its not supposed to, MOB is in the background just kind of. Doing his own thing. Looking around. Scanning the perimeter.
I think part of the reason Briggs folded (subjectively) so easily is because she knew. She Fucking Knew.
Yeah, she could force BT to swap to a different pilot. An actual pilot. But fuck, man, if there wasn't going to be a titans version of sulking and bitching. Would he put his pilot at risk? No, that goes against protocol 3, but he wasn't going to be happy. He wasn't going to make it easy on his new pilot. Titans have their own ways of being petty and if she and MOB have been partners for any length of time beyond one mission, Briggs probably knows that first hand.
Not only are they low on pilots, but they're low enough they have to take a machine's words into consideration because if they don't, he's not going to be cooperative. He's not going to be helpful or useful in the next mission. And she knows this.
Briggs saw the writing on the wall and decided she'd rather have an acting pilot and a happy machine than a certified pilot and a sulking one.
5. For the write-a-kiss ask game (your choice of pairing)
Thanks for playing! I think you probably knew who I'd pick if you gave me a choice, even before you sent this <3
5 ...where it doesn't hurt.
Jack Cooper/BT-7274
The day started pleasantly enough. Routine training exercises, drills and maneuvers. Nothing that should have carried any risk, and yet...
"Easy Pilot, we're almost home."
BT-7274 sprinted as fast as he dared, his Pilot, Jack Cooper, cradled securely in his hands. A malfunctioning jump kit was all it took to make the day turn from ordinary to nightmare.
BT monitored his Pilot's vitals as he bounded over the landscape, heedless of anything in his path. Shrubs, trees, boulders, and probably some hapless fauna as well - all met a swift end beneath the twenty-foot mech, whose only concern was to get Jack the medical care he needed as swiftly as possible.
Jack could only groan. He was soaked to the bone and felt like one enormous bruise. Nothing was outright broken, thankfully, but he knew he must have bruised his ribs because the simple act of breathing had turned into something requiring conscious effort so he wouldn't break into a coughing fit and cause even more pain.
All things considered, he was lucky to be alive. One minute he was leaping across a small ravine to the cliff face on the other side, the next he heard BT's shout of alarm as he was making uncomfortable friends with gravity, plummeting several dozen feet to the shallow river below. The water broke most of his fall but he still landed heavily on the worn river stones, the breath knocked out of him, his armor absorbing enough of the shock to keep bones from breaking, but not enough to prevent the bruising.
BT reached him in moments, and after a quick scan to ensure Jack could be moved, he carefully worked his Pilot into his massive hands.
"Hold on, Jack. I've got you,. Do not worry," BT said, his voice betraying his concern.
"Not worried, BT," Jack groaned. "I've been through worse, yeah? And at least we're... augh... close to home."
"Yes, that is true," BT replied, and started running, holding his hands carefully level to absorb all the shock from his frantic flight.
Ten minutes later, BT skidded to a stop in front of the Medical building on their base. He hunkered down on his pedes and carefully handed Jack over to the waiting medical team and their stretcher.
"We'll take care of him, BT," one said, patting the giant mech on his hand. "You can come see him in your frame afterwards."
"Thank you. I'll get changed," BT replied, then headed straight for the Titan hangar.
---
Later that evening, Jack was feeling ridiculously like a mummy as he lay in bed in his recovery room. Nearly every inch of him was bandaged in some way, from small plasters all the way up to the wrap around his chest for his ribs.
There came a knock on the door, and a moment later, BT stepped in, wearing his human frame, dressed comfortably in a t-shirt and jeans.
"Hey, buddy," Jack smiled.
"Don't you look a mess," BT replied with an answering smile, moving to sit down next to Jack's bedside. "You're lucky to be alive."
Jack snorted, then winced, "Hurts to move, hurts to breathe, kinda wish I were dead," Jack made a soft huff, as much of a laugh as he dared. "Everything hurts!"
"Everything?" BT smiled, leaning closer. Jack immediately fell into those fission blue eyes he loved so much.
"Maybe not everything," Jack admitted, unable to help batting his eyelashes at BT.
BT huffed softly and leaned further in to kiss Jack gently on his lips, probably the only safe place on his body.
"Ok, yeah, that didn't hurt," Jack breathed as BT broke the kiss, and with a radiant smile, BT went back for more.

Y'know BT-7274 can do whatever he likes to me but I don't think "pulse blade up the ass" counts as protecting the pilot, in fact, I think it's the opposite?
