"HIGLIGHTS: Once comfortable with surroundings loves exploring, loves water, enjoys petting, smart and social with dogs. Too many changes and certain noises bring about anxiety, is taking daily medicine for this anxiety. Needs a calm, loving, experienced person to provide support and help overcome fears. Needs positive reinforcement only!
MORE ABOUT ME:
Not much is known about my life while I was in the Middle East. My rescuer saw a car stopped and a plastic bag was tossed out. Something was moving in the plastic bag that caught her attention. She stopped and cut the bag open and found a live puppy in the plastic bag, me. The tip of my ears had been cut off, and I was all alone, cast off at only 4 months old. My rescuer took me home and soon after that I came to the USA in the hopes of finding a better life and a loving family.
About a month after my arrival, my foster family noticed that too many stimuli and changes increased my anxiety. Any time I was anxious, I started mouthing my foster mom to get attention for my needs. I was responding well to CBD oil and medication, along with training, to help me in special situations, such as meeting new people.
I was adopted out in late August to a young couple. Against my foster family's advice, they stopped my CBD and medicine, and my anxiety became much worse. It was quickly apparent that this was not the right family for me. So, now I am back with my foster in WA and again looking for my forever family and home.
After my experience with the failed adoption my anxiety got even worse than before. My vet in Seattle put me on daily anti- anxiety medicine that has calmed me tremendously.
Other dogs are a joy to me and I am polite, playful and friendly with them. I definitely feel more comfortable around dogs than people, and will trust you more readily if other dogs vouch for you. Currently, I am loving half-days spent at daycare, running and playing with all my new friends! (Here is a video of me playing)
I do tend to guard my valuable treats and toys at times, especially when I am anxious. Currently we are working on that with a trainer.
Please understand that I will need ample adjustment time and support while getting used to a new home. I will need you to be around all the time and stay with me until I am comfortable-this may take time! I will need to learn to trust you. Once I trust you, you will find that I am very sweet and loving!"

Leading veterinary and welfare bodies are concerned by the alarming rise in ear-cropped dogs in the UK. Ear cropping is illegal in the UK an
Hi guys. Just popping on mid-week this once to ask a favour for all UK residents/citizens.
Ear cropping in the UK is illegal, and yet veterinary practices across the UK are seeing a big rise in dogs being presented having suffered through this horrible mutilation. There are currently no laws preventing the importation of dogs with cropped ears. As such, there is an industry devoted to supplying customers with cropped-eared dogs from abroad. Owners whose dogs have had their ears cropped within the UK are often passed off as having been done abroad, or the owners will attempt to deny that they knew this was an illegal procedure (except when reccomended by a veterinary surgeon for a medical reason).
This has to stop. There are NO benefits to cropping a dog's ears other than reccomended by a vet. And yet this mutilation still occurs on a huge scale. End the mutilation.
