Shrum, Sporina, and Funguzzar, Fungus (later Fungus/Poison) types that can be found in areas of high humidity and a good amount of shade, like Forests, Jungles, Swamps, or Underground.

Shrum: Laying in the damp shade, Shrum hate the sunlight. They can detect the nutrients in the soil with their bottoms. Sporina: Sporina's cap has developed a bitter taste that drives away predators. However, some consider this taste to be oddly pleasant. Somehow. Funguzzar: Funguzzar will wrap up smaller prey in its tendrils, slowly absorbing the nutrients out of them. It prefers to live far away from the light.

Fungi have always been very fascinating to me, and I wanted to make sure I had a whole type to really explore their designs and role in ecosystems. Consider the Fungus type as sort of a 'counterpart' to the Plant type - one that focuses more on HP Draining and mysterious attacks over Plant's raw bulk and regeneration.

There are 27 different types that creatatures can be in Creatation, some more common or rare, or more or less powerful, than others.

Normal, Fire, Water, Ice, Plant, Earth, Stone, Air, Electric

Dark, Light, Might, Mind, Mystic, Bug, Chaos, Metal, Beast

Vibe, Undead, Blood, Fungus, Poison, Nuclear, Space, Time, Creation

Creatatures can have one to two types, much like other games, and those types have strengths and weaknesses when combating other types. However, certain types also have environmental effects, and can do better or worse in specific areas - for example, Ice-types will have a harder time surviving in Volcanic regions, or Dark types having a better time navigating underground.

Acornut, Sproutwig, & Treekaboo, Plant-types to help round out our forested areas. They're very shy and are likely to flee at the first sign of danger, but coming across a wild Treekaboo hiding among the mighty oaks is a rare sight indeed!

Acornut: Adept at running across the forest floor, it absorbs nutrients through the soil to gain energy. Sproutwig: Their stiff, wooden exterior limits their movement, but also protects them from the larger forest predators. Treekaboo: Standing still alongside the other trees, Treekaboo are a home for several other creatatures in their upper canopy.

T-ANT-T, Boomblebee, & B-4, Bug/Chaos-types found in their signature red hives dangling underneath trees in forests. While their Red Honey is uniquely spicy and has a lot of uses in cooking, they aren't the kind to give it up lightly.

T-ANT-T: Crawling out of their hives to forage food for the colony, they are extremely aggressive. Their thorax will self-destruct if they sense a threat. Boomblebee: Boomblebee's thorax contains a chemical similar to gunpowder. Anything that gets close to it is likely to be the target of its aggression. B-4: Aggressive and territorial, they will attack anybody that gets even close to their hive. Their honey has a distinctive spicy flavor that many creatatures love.

Widdalpillah, Chrysilk, and Majesfly, Bug-types found in Forest and Jungle areas. They may be weak, but they have latent power embedded in their bodies waiting to burst!

Widdalpillah: This smaller, weaker creatature spends its entire life eating leaves, preparing to evolve. Chrysilk: No one knows what happens inside a Chrysilk's hard outer shell until it evolves. It lays motionless until then. Majesfly: Majesfly's unique wing patterns help distract and disorient any potential predator that attempts to attack it.

Cubfang & Wolfang, Beast-type creatatures that live in dens deep within temperate & colder Forest areas. They hunt in packs and are extremely dangerous, so getting too close to their habitats is a bad idea. That said, if you are able to catch one, they are lifelong companion material!

Cubfang: While high energy and playful, one must beware of this creatature's incredibly strong bite. Wolfang: Wolfang can take down prey much stronger than itself by working together in packs. They can even hunt humans with deadly efficiency.

I consider Cubfang & Wolfang to be the poster of the "den" system - in addition to just spawning throughout the overworld, some Creatatures spawn more frequently in - or even exlusively at - little mini-structures throughout the Overworld called "dens". These dens are distinct for different species that call them home: for example, in forests you may also come across a Messigeon nest, which will contain higher-leveled Packigeon and even fully grown Coureagle, which can be both dangerous and rewarding as you get stronger creatatures with better stats.

Messigeon, Packigeon, & Coureagle, Normal/Air-type birds found in most forest biomes. They carry letters and packages around with them always, and can be used to dutifully fly items to and fro!

Messigeon: All Messigeon hold an envelope between their talons. No one has ever been able to get one away from them to see what's inside. Packigeon: Packigeon have an excellent sense of direction. It is because of this reason that they are expert navigators. Coureagle: Coureagle can lift up to ten times their own weight. They store their eggs in wooden crates so they don't get lost during long flights.

Lember, Lemash, and Lemolten, Fire-types that can be rarely found in Jungle biomes and a potential starter Creatatures the player could begin with in Creatation!

Lember: "Lember stores thermal energy in its tail. When it is threatened, it shakes its tail violently, releasing a cloud of hot air."

Lemash: "Lemash spend the majority of their life away from their tribe. While living alone, they hone their combat abilities."

Lemolten: "They wrap their tails around their waist to absorb and re-use their own body heat. This creatature moves so fast, it leaves flames in its wake."

These three are based on ring-tailed lemurs! I also wanted to work in some elements of a martial arts master into them, hence the belt, but they ended up going in a direction of Superheroes which I also think is a really interesting theming for them! You've got the plucky young sidekick, the kinda angsty teen anti-hero, and then the ultimate caped crusader!
