I'm in this fandom because I genuinely saw two people behaving in a way I relate to as a queer person, and came to the conclusion they're in a relationship. Now there are fun rumors out there like Xiao Zhan's ring on a necklace, and fun connections like the tulips or the cameras, and I can enjoy theorizing about what it means while knowing this isn't serious, this is just gay theorizing.

The idea of getting a confirmation of BJYXSZD, that ISN'T some out-and-proud announcement from the men themselves, feels rather invasive to me. I don't WANT to find out someone outed them against their will. Getting confirmation of their relationship because of someone forcing them out of the closet? Would make me so sad.

Because from a bxg's perspective, they used the same song & it said "I love you" and that's super cute, good candy, the end. But from a passerby or THEIR perspective? There is a large group of people -- bxg are a known quantity -- who are going to take any coincidence between these two actors as a Sign, and they still did that. The first thing I thought was, is this just a popular trend audio right now? So I checked the best I could, and no, it's a very popular song but not a trend during that time. (If anybody on Chinese social media has evidence otherwise please share!)

Anyways, I'm having a weirdly hard time finding XZ's or posts about the coincidence (maybe it's cuz I'm on my phone rn... I'll be home in a week and posts on this blog will be better), but to my memory: XZ's was posted by the Zang Hai douyin account but was understood to be sent by his team (this may simply be hearsay, but finding no evidence of "Fiction" trending in general it makes more sense than genuine coincidence), and it was posted after Yibo's, and then a few days later he or the Zang Hai acc posted again using the full audio including the "I love you" part. I want to source things on this blog well, but unforchies this is all I have rn

SO to GET to the POINT Yibo's video has no special purpose, it is just a general update that a celebrity posts to keep the fans fed while nothing is going on, however XZ's is a promo post.

So it is my belief that dd made his video after GG told him about his own video, and posted it when GG told him the show would be posting his promo video. Posting before the show - maybe that was an accident, or maybe for it to seem less like a reaction? XZ has more plausible deniability when an impersonal account happens to post something prepared than WYB does posting on personal acc. But maybe too much in the end, and that's why XZ posted again with the full audio. (Using the same audio twice would make sense from non-bxg perspective IF "Fiction" was relevant to Zhang Hai... which as far as I can it isn't really, Zhang Hai is a revenge story and "Fiction" is a love song.)
