Y/n stood there at the beach watching the sky slowly fade from hues of blues to a range of orange and pink as the chocolate haired boy she came with walks up to her in the sand with two sodas in his hand smiling at her. “Coke for my lady,” Colby says with a bright cheerful smile on his face as he handed her the bottle. She reached out taking the drink from his hand, a simple moment of her fingers grazing over his cause an eruption of fireworks to be set off against her skin. She muttered a small thank you, returning his smile before her attention was taken back by the sky. The air fell still following a comfortable silence before Y/N finally spoke. “So,...” She started walking along the shore, him following beside her at a relaxed pace. Her eyes wandered the sandy ground before looking to him. “Tell me something about you, anything, your friends or family,” She smiled brightly hoping to ignite a conversation. The date had only just begun and yet there was this feeling, longing almost for it to never end. She wanted the sky to never reach its darkest point, for it to remain still at dusk and for this simple date to last hours. The corners of Colby’s mouth started to curl more at her request. “Well I have my best friend of 9 years Sam, we have a youtube channel together and we live right next to each other.” Colby laughs lightly before continuing on about his family and friends with a huge smile on his face. The appreciation and admiration he had for his friends and family were written all over his face as the moon illuminated his jawline and sculpted cheekbones. Y/N grinned from ear to ear as she just took in everything from his bright blue eyes to his amazing smile. Colby turned to her and just chuckled as his hand brushed against hers sending sparks flying through her body.

A little long but in a way imagines and one shot are sort of the same thing.

"What's up it's s- wait wrong channel," Colby said making you laugh. "Hey guys it's Colby and I'm here with my girlfriend (Y/N). We're going to be reading comments on her pictures and my pictures and then we're going to go through each other's DMs." He explained handing you his phone while taking yours. "You know the relationship is real when you guys have each other's passwords and a thumbprint." You said as you unlocked Colby's phone. You showed the camera his lock screen. You guys had fallen asleep on the couch during movie night and Aaron took a picture to send to Colby because he said it was too cute to just ignore. "Comment number one." You started, "I really need Colby to realize how much I love him and how he's changed my life so much." You read. "Awee, I love you too," Colby said. "I love all of you, you guys are amazing and without you in wouldn't be in this room filming this video." He added with a smile. "The next comment is, Colby is daddy asf but we all know we're not the only one calling him that." You read. "Who else is calling you daddy Colby?" You playfully asked. "Brennan, Nik, Corey...the fans hopefully you." He listed. You pushed his arm rolling your eyes. The questions went on for awhile until you guys finished the video, he switched the SD card placing that one by his computer before starting his camera. "Okay guys, so as you know Sam and Kat pranked us last week so we decided revenge was in store for this. (Y/N) and I have a really good relationship. We don't fight that often and when we do they're the smallest arguments that we fix right away. Now normally she's over every single day until she either has to work or she has other plans so we're going to set up a fake argument and she's going to storm out and not come around for a few days and then when she does she's going to text Kat and ask if they can meet up or something. She's going to say some things and hopefully, Kat will tell Sam and Sam will tell me." Colby explained. "Also I feel like this is more of a prank on us because we have to be careful about facetime, phone calls and texts because I see Colby every single day which might sound excessive but we're just so used to it being that way." You started to explain. "But if Kat doesn't tell Sam, then I'll tell Sam the same thing because we know Sam tells Colby pretty much everything." You finished as you stood up. "Here we go, guys," Colby said before turning the camera off. He kissed your cheek before heading downstairs. You followed after him waving at everyone as they were in the game room. "How did filming go?" Sam asked. Colby gave him a shrug before going into the kitchen.  "It was fine." You told him before following after Colby once more. Colby was filming on his phone so he made sure the screen wasn't showing as he stopped to turn to you. "It was fine, that's what you call it?" He asked. "It's not even that serious Colby, we could have talked about this upstairs in front of everyone." You told him keeping your voice low. "That way you can keep this perfect imagine in front of all of them?" "Colby it wasn't a secret! I wasn't hiding anything." You continued. "COREY!" He yelled, "I have a question." He said as headed to the game room. "Colby I swear to God, don't bring them into this. Can we handle this like two adults because that's what we're supposed to be adults." You fired at him. You could see Aaron and Elton's face, they were obviously both uncomfortable and confused. Sam looked shocked because you two didn't yell often, Devyn and Kat looked anywhere but at you and Corey....poor Corey looked as if he said the wrong thing he'd be screwed. "If Devyn got a dm from some guy and he was being sexual and she was like I'm not interested but he kept going you'd want to know right?" He asked. Corey nodded. "What about you Sam? You'd want Kat to tell you right?" Sam nodded as well. "Well I'm not Kat or Devyn and you're not Corey and Sam. I don't need you fighting my battles or bringing our friends into this." You yelled at him.

You had scaled the building a thousand times over in the past year with Colby. This was their go-to place after every date. It was the perfect place to watch the sunrise or look up at the stars. They came here for peace and quiet when the Trap House got loud or when they wanted to talk. This was their spot. Y/n got onto the roof and sighed as you look around with your flashlight making sure you were alone. It as well past midnight and there were plenty of homeless people in the area but none near the abandoned building since it was gated off. You slung your backpack off your shoulder and onto the ground as you walked over to the ledge and looks down. All there is down there is rubble and trash from past explorers and parts of the building falling off.

You walk back to the more secure part of the roof and pulls out a blanket and your camera from the xplr backpack that Sam gave you a year prior as you spread it out on the floor and set the camera up to face you before sitting down. You look up at the stars that light up the sky. Tears started pouring out as you remembered all the long nights you had up here with Colby. The way he looked up at the sky smiling and laughing. Or the way he would focus on you all smiley when you told him a story. You look at the moon shining brighter than before tonight.

“I’m so fucking stupid thinking this will actually work but it’s worth a shot.” You said before you sniffled and wiped your eyes with your sleeve.

“Colby, I miss you. Oh my god how I miss you. It’s crazy how we were just here the other day talking about future videos, where you are Sam are heading out to do and how we would have a future together with kids and pets in a big house.”

You said as more tears fell down your face. The wind starts picking up and you pull the sleeves of one of Colby’s jackets past her knuckles as you laugh at yourself. You look in the camera lens shaking your head.

“I must really seem crazy. I’m at a fucking abandoned building talking to myself hoping you could hear me. And yet again I’m putting this in a video too!” You exclaim to nothing but the wind as if it is talking back to you.

“I think the worst part of it all is that the last thing that I said to you before everything happened was that I hated you. I promise you it's not true. I could never hate you, Colby. I have nothing but love for you. The 4 years we were together meant the world to me and now…”

You said as you start getting choked up. You let out a few sobs as you remember the call you got from Sam the other night. The news of the car crash and how Colby didn’t make it. How you could tell he had been crying and he had to let Kat tell you the news because he couldn’t without crying. How quiet the Trap house was and everyone came over to hug you. How Sam sobbed into your shoulder when you got to him. How you locked yourself in Colby’s room bawling and holding his jacket as close as you could. Or how you drank till you fell asleep to trying and forget that any of it happened.

You stayed on that roof crying into your knees till you heard people talking under you. The voices sounded distant and there were definitely two people here with you. You stayed silent till you heard a soft voice coming from behind you.

“Guys I found her. She’s on the roof.”

Sam said from behind you as you turned around tears rolling down your face. You saw Corey Devyn and Kat behind him with concern washed over their faces. They all walked over to you and sat down joining you on the blanket staying quiet before Corey finally broke the silence.

“Y/n why are you here? It’s late.” He says softly as if not wanting to break the silence

“This was our spot. We came here all the time and stayed till sunrise. It’s a tradition.” You said before your voice gave out and tears fell down faster now and Devyn wrapped an arm around your shoulder pulling you close.
