One day Jake and Johnnie were hanging out when the annual doom scrolling began, johnnie had long since drifted to playing video games on his laptop while Jake scrolled through Johnnie's phone as his died and he was way too lazy to charge it.

He came across one of Grace's posts and didn't think much of it... Until he saw a girl on repeat on Grace's photos, her outfit consisted of mini skirts, leg warmers, platform boots and layers upon layers of accessories in each photo. One in particular caught his eye, her glossy lips was curled into a soft grin, her layered silver chains catching the sunlight against her black outfit and her eyeliner looked sharp enough to cut through glass.

Jake's thumb suddenly paused after what felt like the twentieth photo, his heart doing a strange flip he had no explanation for "Hey Johnnie, who's this girl with grace?" he asked, his voice a little deeper than usual, johnnie looked up shrugged and kept playing "I don't know, some girl grace met on cast, she's cool or whatever"

"huh... she's pretty " Jake said, really just thinking out loud, johnnie obviously could not help the smirk that grew across his face "What was that?" "nah nothing" a few seconds passed which felt like 5 hours in Jake's odd world before he tried playing it cool "Sooo you and grace hang out a lot" "No" "I didn't even say anything!" "I know what your gonna say" "You literally don't" "You like Grace's friend" "I don't" "You do" "Don't" "Do" "don't!" "do!"

"Okay let's just say, hypothetically" Jake tried for casual - but was casually failing. "How about you just ask grace to bring her along next time" "Say please" "Hey, no you still owe me after stealing my Reece's toothpaste" "You're still hung up on that?" "Yes, that was my true beloved" "Fine, I'll see what I can do" "See? If you try hard enough you make a decent wingman" Johnnie threw a pillow at his head which Jake caught while laughing.

Somewhere in Los Angeles, grace and y/n were walking around laughing at what some of the cast did on the set when Grace's phone went off. She checked it while y/n peered over shoulder to read as well.

Johnnie:please save mee, Jake's been going on about that girl in your posts, please before I die can we plan like a double date or something?

Grace giggled "Of course, I should've known Jake would fall for you." "Who even is he" "oh he's totally your type don't worry" "That alone makes me worried" grace only giggled and looped their arms as she began droning on about who Jake was and how she was gonna plan the perfect date for all of them.

Jake had no idea how Johnnie did it, but he did and that's all that mattered. Today the four of them were going out to some new café that opened up in town, and Jake was for once weirdly nervous. He was just about to meet the girl he has been none stop thinking about, ever since Grace's posts, on a date for the first time,of course he was nervous, who wouldn't be!

In the car he fixed his hair for like the millionth time before they finally stopped at the café, where grace was already waiting. "She said she'll be here 5 minutes, ooh wait here she comes" Jake looked in the direction grace pointed and it felt like his heart did a somersault right into his stomach. She was absolutely gorgeous. Her thick lashes made it almost impossible to ignore her eyes, her layers of belts and chains jingling as she walked up to them.

Grace quickly greeted her with a crushing hug before they entered the café. Grace and johnnie had ditched them halfway, both seemingly having "emergencies" before running off. As soon as they were gone y/n chuckled "You know they did that on purpose" "Probably" "Definitely"

They sat for hours in that café talking about everything and nothing, the cheap fluorescent light doing nothing to dim her beauty, they talked until closing time, Jake couldn't have been happier at the end of it, he'd gotten her number, she'd laughed at all of his jokes it went absolutely perfect and Jake was surprisingly happy that Grace and johnnie had ran off.
