Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well. Fold in the semisweet chocolate chunks, distributing them evenly throughout the cookie dough. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
