Tbh, my brainrot for the girls is not nearly as strong as the boys, so I don't have as many thoughts, but I do have some.

Lisia and May initially meet through Brendan when he starts doing contests. When Lisia scouts him, she thinks he's cute, but unfortunately for Lisia, she and Wallace have similar taste in men, and Wallace gets to Brendan first. It's fine, though. May comes to support Brendan during one of his first few contests (probably while they're in Fallarbor) and she hits it off with Lisia immediately.

May quickly becomes Lisia's biggest fan, and Lisia joins May's fieldwork whenever she can. At some point, Lisia convinces May to participate in a contest, but May doesn't like being in the spotlight, so it only happens once.

I haven't nailed down my characterization for May just yet, but she definitely gets to have a little bit of Sapphire in her. One of my favorite things about Ruby and Sapphire from the manga was how they subverted gender roles in such an interesting way while still maintaining their masculinity and femininity respectively, so I like to bring a lot of that same energy to my versions of Brendan and May. May's strong and a bit tomboyish. She's more laid-back and less uptight than Brendan about most things, so she has a lot of fun messing with him. When Brendan hangs out with the girls, he's an easy target for teasing. May means well, though.
