Hey! I’m really sorry if this has been asked before, but what would May’s full team be like in tts? I still love reading that fic till this day and try to imagine what her final team would have looked like😂
She was going to get a male flygon and a female ninetails in addition to the crew she had, all fully evolved eventually of course. The flygon was going to be caught in the desert as a trapinch (an adventure I had almost completed writing actually) and be called Fallon, though I had started to doubt this name when it was actually time to add it in and thought maybe it sounded more like a girl. Vulpix was going to be hatched from an egg that was a birthday gift from Brendan. I think she was going to be called Ava, but that also doesn’t sound quite right to me so maybe that was just one of the ideas I had. I’d have to check my notes to be 100%.
Interesting note, I had also planned for vulpix to have a huge crush on Gunner, but I’m unsure if I would’ve made it work with her being a baby for a bit or if I would’ve scrapped the idea in practice. I had Trapinch’s personality the least planned out of the group, but I was going to try a few different things to see what worked with the overall dynamic.
Soren was obviously going to be her team member that learned to mega evolve. When I originally planned May’s team, I didn’t really mean to put so many with mega evolutions on there and did it totally by coincidence. My main goal was a balance of unexpected pokemon and ones that I love.
Most of everything through the Lavaridge arc is planned in extreme detail. The rest of the story I had roughly planned but with room for me to grow and add to as I got closer. I always liked to super map out the arcs I was coming up on as I got to them.
