Originally I named her Kayuki, but I feel like it was no fun to just shorten the original name (plus Kayuri works too well for a yuri au!)

It’s that time again to give a big thanks to everyone who’s supported me and my art this year!

I’ll admit this was a difficult year. I used to think farther I got into art, the less I'd worry. Yet, I find myself at a loss over how vast the whole art world is, and if I'm competent enough to be part of it.

The pressure is on for next year with my last year of university, and I wish I wasn't so afraid of moving forward. There's still so much I have yet to learn, so much left I want to experience and understand in a world that keeps changing with no signs of stopping.

Still, I'm going to try my best! (૭ ｡•̀ ᵕ •́｡ )૭

Though I feel conflicted over the quality and quantity of my work this year, I find comfort in the smiles of my characters and the joy they’re able to bring others and myself, even if it’s just for a moment!

Farewell 2024, Welcome 2025! 🩷

Thank you so much for the support and kindness that I’ve received this past year! Despite being around so many years now, I still find myself struggling with sharing my art online. My process is messy and all over the place, and I’m still learning to embrace that.

My second year of uni turned out to be quite the challenge and more than I could handle at times. Yet, I learned a lot and achieved some things I had only dreamed of before.

I participated on my second artist alley and made my first line of keychains for the very first time. Everyone who got one was very happy and that brings me lots of joy!

March and August’s drawings are frames from my animation finals. March I wasn’t able to animate all the way, but by August I was able to completely animate a small sequence and add full color!

It’s true I didn’t finish many full pieces this year, and I’ll strive to build the habit again. Still, I’m happy I got to sketch a lot on Procreate and MS Paint!
