My 2nd contribution for @turbofox-zines Volume II project was a whole sticker sheet page! I hope everyone who purchased the physical zine has a blast with them π
And yes: I recycled the chibi faces and vehicle modes from my Board Game entry from the first zine because... BECAUSE!!!

In 2017 I made two rockets to go into a collaborative sculpture. The rocket was designed to be a shorter and simpler version of Tintinβs rocket in βDestination Moonβ. The two rockets were painted in several coats of a sandable white primer, and the rocket to go into the collaborative sculpture was painted with redΒ acrylic paint using a paintbrush so you could see the brushstrokes β it was supposed to be painterly to match the painted areas in the collaborative work. This second rocket β the fallback rocket in case the first one got broken while attaching it to the collaborative β was left simply with the primer for some months. After a while I decided to go ahead and paint it only this time I used glossy red spray paint and then sealed all over with glossy clear lacquer to look more like Tintinβs rocket. It now sits on the living room mantle.
Below is the more painterly first rocket as fitted into the work done collaboratively with Marti Forkner Vernon and Micah Gougen.
My art entry for @fossil-fighters-zine 's project dedicated to this beloved childhood game! I took the mantle in portraying the wackiest NPC in the game because, ya know, I vibe with freaks like Nick Nack x'D And YEAH: piled up his quintessential vivosaur team of "rhinosaurs", gosh! That brontoth (the blue) especially gave me trouble π« But in the end, became such a rendering challenge I'm proud af to have finished!
You can download the Zine for [Free Here!] I suggest checking it to get a full res and without the noisy texture version of my art, but to look at the epic pieces each one of the participants made for it!
All my thanks to the admins and artists that cheered me up all the way in each step during the process πππ YOU ALL ROCK LIKE A well cared fossil, yeaaah! π¦
My (first) double-page contribution to @turbofox-zines 's TF Fanzine/Art Anthology: the RBA Zine, in all its glory!
Well, here is upscaled thrice so, I suggest everyone check the full monster of a piece by [Downloading it here] the whole booklet because there's so much precious art and writing (we even got a special guest story!) that deserves the support.
This illustration is extra special to me because it marks my first time working on a double page instead of my usual one-page piece. It's the first time I let my Graphic Designer knowledge take credit for the lettering, text, and graphic components to make this a full-functional board game (it works beautifully printed in an A3!).
The admins even let me contribute with the little character graphics to decorate the zine pages, something I was delighted about β₯
Now, as always I'll share my art process under the cut because a lot was going out during the journey to make this piece look as professional as you see it now. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did, thank you to all for the support β¨
I confess: I never EVER before illustrated a whole map in this art style x'D So I was glad this show already had shots from different perspectives of its setting. Still, not every place was visually consistent so this map is more of an approximation than a loyal representation of the canon.
I think the hardest part is to make something that looks good both with an without the board game path.
... I confess too that even if I'm obsessed to make things follow a certain logic, I struggled a ton with the perspective π₯
YEAH, IT MADE ME USE BLOCKS TO UNDERSTAND IT AAA
It was worth the effort: look at how it works printed! And this is without an illustration-suited paper.
OH! Before I go: this too marks my first time drawing the vehicle mode for TFs... THE TINNIEST VEHICLES EVER, you can download their respective files on the Merch Part of the Zine too!
My mixed-media illustration entry for @anthologyofartists 's OC zine!!! I'm posting on socials the noisy-watermarked and reduced-in-size version: for the whole visual experience (and even extra behind-the-scenes commentaries), I suggestΒ [Downloading the Zine PDF]Β on their Itchio page, FOR FREE! π
This was my first experience participating in an art anthology that wasn't fandom themed, and I can say I HAD A BLAST! I always wanted to have the opportunity to show off not only my skills but my love for my OCs, especially my hungry flying furball [Noddie] π
I had a ton of emotional support during the process, and even if I couldn't participate in the rest of the monthly prompts (because they even hosted extra ideas to follow up if you wanted), I can say I never felt behind during all of those months seeing everyone showing off their WIPs and gushing about their characters x3
Thank you for the opportunity!!! π¬π¦π¬π¦π¬π¦
Did you think I wouldn't show some process here? Sadly, I want you all to check the PDF for that xD (PLEASE, do it!!!) but because I want to at least entice and leave some visual archive here... Have an animated gif showing the entirety of Noddie's real-life clay sculpture!
Of course, as always, when I sculpt for these pieces, I don't try to finish the entirety of the figure, just the angles I will use for the shot I want to capture x) I'm an art cheater, I know hahaha

TEASER TIME! For @turbofox-zines 's Rescuebots/Academy Zine project, I contributed with... a very unusual art composition: this is just a little bit of it so, stay tuned for more later at the end of March x) I'M SUPER HYPED ALREADY AAA
My entry for the @bulkheadzine ! You can get a better look at it by downloading the digital booklet [HERE] I suggest doing that because there are lots of beautifully crafted artworks (and fanfics omg) showcasing this precious character through not only different continuities but art style expressions π I'm still in awe from seeing the process of each creative member of this project and working along them, thank you so much!
And if you have time for it! You'll do wonders in sharing the fanzine in other places, so many more people can enjoy it!: [Instagram] π [Twitter].
OH! Do you see something unusual in my artwork? Part of it was not only made as a digital collage (use of patterns and real photos to create a scene) but I even made a figurine of Bulkhead for it! I'll put more details about it under the cut x).
YES! Your eyes are not seeing bad: THAT'S A TINY BULKY being held gently... it took me at least a day to finish it and adjust to the planned pose I needed it to have for the scene.
And for sure you are asking yourself why I didn't paint it already in this stage? Because...
After a good photo session, I put it on a digital program and colored over it! (Well, under but details pfff). Then when setting it in the piece, I rendered over it with a textured brush to enhance details in it!.
Fun Fact: This sculpture is in reality INCOMPLETE! Why? Because art is an illusion... and in the end, I only needed to take a photo from one angle of the character, I couldn't waste more clay than what I had. Another reason was...
... that I live in a place where there's not enough space to safely have these types of work around so after the photo session I destroyed the figurine (is a very cheap and malleable clay anyway).
So what you are seeing in the final illustration is the only evidence of this thing existing :') and I'm at peace with it because... for me, that's one of the meanings of art: to be something only perceived in a fleeting moment, like how life is to every one of us!
BONUS: Zoom in on these tiny pictures on the wall I loved lots to do AAA (I want that Prowl picture for my wall too haha).
I can finally show the full piece I did for the @primitivebeastszine ! In contrast to the other piece for another zine I showed months ago, I up to eleven the scratchy rendering trying to blend it with the photography collage under it! I think it suits perfectly the frizzled feeling of our poor Waspy being struck by the freaky spark force of someone as chaotical as Starscream x'D.
This was A LOT OF WORK! The only elements that are mirrored are Screamer's ghost face and the wings, but the rest is done all from scratch, and the textures and photos were properly adjusted to work together: only on Waspinator's body, there's a total of 50 individual layers of elements!!!.
Under the cut, I will leave more details of the process for the ones curious x3
β¦ no doubt why my software crashed multiple times LMAO so I ended up separating it into two files, the background collage and character collage, put them all in flats, and then worked over them more comfortably.
And them both with EXTRA EFFECTS AND LAYERS AND LAYERS OF FILTERS ksdjhfkjshdf
With two fanzine artworks under my belt, I can say I'm satisfied with my yearly contribution to crazy experimentations for the enjoyment of a community of creatives as cool as this one π.
