Cold Still is an Americana country and blues rock project built entirely around the powerhouse vocals and electric presence of Emilia Johansson.​

Emilia’s musical identity was forged during her years living in Nashville, Tennessee—the beating heart of the music industry. Moving straight into the city's legendary scene, she spent years soaking up the raw grit of the blues and the deep storytelling tradition of classic country. It was there she truly found her voice: a smoky, unpolished force with an undeniable rock 'n' roll edge.​

When Emilia returned and her path crossed with songwriter Martin Boo, an instant musical magic was born. Together, the duo writes songs that bridge the gap between soulful southern heritage and high-energy driving rock riffs. Their creative chemistry seamlessly blends foot-stomping boogie grooves with deep, heartfelt storytelling.​

Bringing it all to life in the studio is producer Marcus Berg. He captures the project’s raw, authentic live energy and wraps it in a wall of sound that lets the guitars cut through and the rhythms pump with relentless force.​Cold Still isn’t about chasing glossy trends or studio perfection. Okay so these guys have got a bit of recognition but just little enough to still in the indie circle. This single was released on their album Union, which was only available for digital download on iTunes in 2009. They released a new album recently, entitled The Cold Still and the whole thing is a pretty solid indie rock album. They haven't been touring a lot since they cancelled their North America tour because of some personal problems or something, but they preformed at SXSW so you can probably expect to see them there next year.
