Cognitive disfunction and brain fog just hit me like a freight train in the middle of playing a board game. Suddenly, my strategies were out the window, simple math took extra concentration and time, and the pieces on the board were only so much color. Ugh. My head hurts and I need to lie down.

You know you're struggling when you're browsing through Groupon and you think you see online swimming classes, "How does that even work...??!!" Go back...OK clearly that's not what it says and I'm just mega struggling.

I have something to confess.
Not only have I had thyroid cancer but I also have several other invisible illnesses.
I am ADHD
I have a learning disability/cognitive dysfunction.
What does this mean? This means that I don't function like the rest of you.
This means I am easily distracted. This means that even though I have the answer it may take me a moment to find the words. It means that I am impulsive and impatient. It means that it is hard for me to keep the steps to do something in order. It means that I have trouble in math. It means that I can't spell. It means that my grammar isn't always the best. It means that I can come off as stupid. It means a lot of different things.
But it doesn't mean that I am stupid. It means that I have to be different, that I have to find my own way. Everyone does, but for me it is so much more important to find out how I work the best so that I can use it to my advantage.
