Il Governo del Pianeta inizia a preoccuparsi per la nascita di una rete di cittadini estremisti che vogliono rendersi indipendenti dal cappio energetico.

Si fanno chiamare “comunità energetiche rinnovabili” e mirano alla produzione e all’autoconsumo di energia. Da fonti interne al Governo trapelano poche notizie ma sembra che queste fantomatiche comunità producano energia attraverso impianti alimentati da fonti rinnovabili come i pannelli solari, i micro impianti eolici o anche piccole centrali a biogas che generano energia dagli scarti alimentari. Tutti sono allo stesso tempo consumatori e produttori: ciascuno usa quello di cui ha bisogno e immette nella rete di distribuzione l’energia in esubero, che poi viene fornita agli altri utenti. Chi ne fa parte riesce a ridurre le emissioni di anidride carbonica e abbassare i costi della bolletta. Gli impianti condivisi sono al momento di potenza limitata (duecento Kilowatt) ma la preoccupazione del Governo e soprattutto delle big company che gestiscono il mercato dell’energia, è quando questi impianti aumenteranno di potenza rendendosi convenienti anche per le imprese. Queste comunità potrebbero diventare pericolosi spazi di aggregazione sociale e trasformarsi in veri e propri microcosmi economici in cui tutti promuovono uno stile di vita responsabile e sostenibile.

Actually the Co2 levels in our atmosphere are at their lowest levels since mankind was placed on the earth.  Sooner than later we may have to actually pump C02  into our atmosphere in order to have life as we know it to continue.

Earth Overshoot Day is August 22, 2020!

The date reflects this year the 9.3% reduction of humanity’s Ecological Footprint from January 1st to Earth Overshoot Day compared to the same period last year. 

It is a direct consequence of the coronavirus-induced lockdowns around the world. 

Decreases in wood harvest and CO2 emissions from fossil fuel combustion are the major drivers behind the historic shift in the long-term growth of humanity’s Ecological Footprint.

The sudden year-over-year Ecological Footprint contraction, however, is a far cry from the intentional change which is required to achieve both ecological balance and people’s well-being, two inextricable components of sustainability.

Each year, Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity has used all the biological resources that Earth can renew during the entire year. 

Humanity currently uses 60% more than what can be renewed – or as much as if we lived on 1.6 planet.
