can someone please give me advice on the cloth diapers... i made the post and reblogged it the next day, i guess ill check the tags and maybe add more.. i dont really know, but i need to figure out if thats smart, or if i need to change it all up..

looked at SEVERAL websites for cloth diapers, and i've got a variety of diapers/inserts, all with perks for each type. so here is what i've got, so far at least, tell me how it sounds.
Thirsties: 3 prefolds, 3 diaper cover/wraps both size one 6 - 18lbs
Charlie Banana: 6 pack (size small) with 24 inserts, also can be used with disposable inserts, 7 - 18lbs. also 32 - 64 disposable inserts (to have on hand/for grandma/and probably the fiance until he gets use to it)
Sunbaby: 6 diapers with 12 inserts 7 - 35lbs. also 12 microfiber (4-layer) inserts
BlueBerry: 2 - 6 pack microfleece stay-dry liners. also 2 newborn simplex AIO cloth diaper 6 - 16lbs (they have a snap to bend the fabric down from irritating the embilical cord)
Alva: 8 cloth diapers with 8 inserts 8 - 35lbs. 10 microfiber (5-layer) inserts. 4 newborn cloth diapers for under 12lbs. 3 wet/dry bags. 1 draw string/pail liner bag
so that is a total of 29 diapers, 6 newborn, 66 inserts, 64 disposable, 3 prefolds, 3 cloth diapers.. the wet/dry bags have 2 ZIPPER pockets, one for wet things, and one for dry things to keep them separate, one in the diaper bag, one for home, and an extra for if one is in the wash something happens. the micro fleece liners go against the baby's skin, it helps them recover from diaper rash, skin irritation and helps keep the skin dry, and i thought that was amazing to have on hand. so over all to start it off and try a few brands, how do you think i did?

Question
On behalf of one of my friends - her cloth nappies are apparently really stinky! She said she's doing a strip wash once a month, but we're in a really hard water area so that probably won't help will it? I think she's using Charlie bananas. Has anyone got any advice for smelly nappies? This isn't something we've had too much of a problem with so thought I'd ask the mumblrverse...
