Hey hey, sorry for the delay! I've been dealing with a lot of things that have been a pain xD! Anyways, here's some arts I've been playing with in whenever I'm not in any of such pain! Have any questions about any of them, feel free to ask! @nyyght is tagged because there's some relevance here to one of her own characters. x3

My 2 cents on romance in The Case Study of Vanitas (I just finished the anime and have not read the manga yet):
I was so confused after I saw the most romantic outro song (part 1/S1) in the history of my anime experience and then Vanitas went ahead and kissed Jeanne 🤓.
I didn't like this encounter because idk consent 🤓☝️ and I thought we were once again objectifying female characters while the main plot continued to revolve around two men -- successfully attracting both hetero and homo groups.
But I was extremely pleased to be wrong. At first, i didn't understand why powerful women were being left flustered by characters with seemingly much less power than them, but I LOVED that the mangaka decided to demonstrate that power isn't just power, but emotions determine the kind of power you can wield, regardless of gender.
It was also nice that the mangaka spent effort in explaining Jeanne's character as a flustered confused girl who was systematically taught to deny herself. I liked that the romance was positioned in significant parts of the plot, removing the triviality that I had earlier attributed to it. I love that their romance is so Howl's Moving Castle coded as there is literally a scene where they are semi-dancing like Howl and Sophie (I would also argue that although Jeanne is portrayed as strong, she's also an underconfident girl who is always second guessing herself).
I also loved Noe and Vanitas as a couple, who do not give off brotherly vibes at all, but I did feel that the romance (in the non platonic sense) was one-sided from Noe's end. Regardless, I still get the goosebumps from that love song outro, so this ship should go off either way -- who cares, so long as we're not misogynistic towards any female characters. Also, I love that princess mononoke/narusasu rain scene.
In conclusion, I think there's breadcrumbs for everyone. So no need to tear anyone down. 🎉
