@unzip-your-guts submitted: A handful of nice bugs seen around at work! My coworker took the picture of the bee sleeping in the poppy. I'm wondering if you'd be able to identify the black and orange guy, I've never seen them before and I'm curious what they are, I'm from northern alberta canada.
I love them all! But especially the black and orange fella because they are not particularly common. It's a clearwing moth in the family Sesiidae, I think most likely a douglas fir pitch moth, Synanthedon novaroensis. Fun find!
