Using a Chemex to make coffee is a fun experience that makes a clean, crisp cup of coffee with bright flavors and a smooth finish.

Ingredients: 42g coarsely ground coffee beans. 700g hot water 200F or 93C. Chemex coffee filter.

Instructions: Make sure the three-folded side of the Chemex coffee filter faces the spout when you put it in the brewer. To get rid of the paper taste and warm up the Chemex, rinse the filter with hot water. Throw away the rinse water. Put the coffee grounds that aren't very fine in the filter. Set a timer and pour just 100 grams of hot water over the coffee grounds to cover them all. It's time for the coffee to bloom. This helps get rid of gases that are stuck and improves the flavor extraction. Once the bloom is done, slowly pour the rest of the hot water over the coffee grounds in a circle, making sure that all of the grounds are wet. To keep the water level in the Chemex pretty steady, pour at the same rate every time. It should take about 4 minutes to brew all together. Take out the filter and throw it away after the water has gone through the coffee grounds and into the Chemex. Put the Chemex coffee that you just brewed into your favorite mug and enjoy!

Rinse the paper filter with hot water to get rid of any taste of paper. Throw away the rinse water. Put the freshly ground coffee into the filter that has been had a wash. To make coffee, set a timer and pour just 60 ml of hot water over the coffee grounds to cover them. Give it a minute or two to flower. Once the bloom is done, slowly pour the rest of the hot water over the coffee grounds in a circle, making sure they are evenly saturated. The pour should be done by the 1:45 minute mark. In order for the coffee to get into the Chemex, do not stir it. Three to five minutes should be enough time to brew the coffee. After all the water has gone through, take out the filter with the coffee grounds and throw them away. Chemex coffee that has just been brewed should be served in your favorite mug. Have fun!
