Spellbound. Spellbound. That only happened to the worst types of witches, the ones who used their powers for their own gain. Or the ones that hurt others indiscriminately, those who other witches would whisper were mad. Was she one of these kinds of witches? No, she was just a child, if Matthew and his mother were correct. She would have been spellbound from an early age and if it wasnβt her auntβs, then the only ones who could have were her parents. She doesnβt understand why, it made no sense to her. Sheβs grasping at bits and pieces of information to tie together anything that could give her meaning. Sheβs fairly certain that this had something to do with Peter Knox, his stench seemed to follow him wherever they went.Β
Her aunts knew she was on the way, but her disappointment and anger were bubbling up at the surface, making her heart beat faster than normal. They had stopped at a small diner, close to Madison where she was waiting by Matthewβs car. She took a sip of her tea, leg shaking as she thought everything over. Spellbound witches were meant to lose their powers entirely, never to regain them. She never lost hers, just like when Satu tried to open her up, she failed. What was she?
Diana was barely focusing as she felt her mind rushing, the different emotions were bringing a panic in her lungs, constricting and tightening, forcing her to grip the paper cup in her a little bit too tight. Sheβs unable to stop the tea from rising up and burning the tips of her fingers, letting out a soft sound at the pain, only making her thoughts darken further.
