In another universe, Trixie married the dentist Christopher Dockerill and they were granted partial custody of his daughter, who was able to overcome her mother's prejudice. Trixie went on to be accepted into medical school, one day opening a women's health clinic that served all women of Polar. đđđ
I might get hate for this but Iâm going to say it anyway bc it needs to be said.
The best love interest for Trixie has been, and always will be, Christopher Dockerill.
I donât mind Matthew as a character. His relationship with Trixie developed⌠kind of weirdly over the past two seasons but I think they have chemistry and I like their dynamic. My big issue with them was how they got together. Trixie didnât mean any ill intent but it rubs me the wrong way how she penned the last words of Fiona, his dead wife, and then she pays her back by falling for her husband??? And then on Matthewâs part it only took him a year to get over Fiona and not only that, but he wanted Trixie so fast and ughh it just feels so shitty.
Christopher was also kind and successful. There was no weird first encounter or weight to their relationship, he was accepting of the fact that she is a recovering alcoholic pretty instantly, and Trixie got along swimmingly with his daughter Alexandra. Maybe it wonât be as easy to explain his relationship with Trixie to Alexandra as it would be for Matthew to explain to Jonty (bc heâll only remember a life where Trixie is in his life as a permanent staple) but Trixie was never trying to replace Alexandraâs mother anyway.
I know that Trixie and Christopher had kind of a lazy split and were never going to end up together because Jack Hawkins wasnât interested in sticking around, but I still miss him and the Christmas special kind of solidified that for me.

So I reckoned this post needed a bit of an update! It seems neither my jokes nor my editing skills have improvedâŚ
Trixie always putting others first breaks my heart every time.
Can I send you a prompt? Trixie/Christopher/Shelagh- Trixie is heavily pregnant, and the baby is kicking as they are sitting in the car. After a while, Shelagh passes and wonders what all the fuss is about. âChristopher! Look!â
She wished sheâd remembered to ask Nonnatus about Mrs. Zhaoâs files yesterday, but what with their other patients and Teddyâs fussiness encouraging Angelaâs newfound dislike of a half-past-seven bedtime, finding her patientâs old records for her appointment the following day had completely slipped her mind.
Strangely, given the early hour, a sporty green car was parked outside Nonnatus. An update in her prescription would be another thing to look into today, Shelagh mused. Though she was certain the handsome couple inside must be Trixie and her beau, at first glance she had been sure Tom was there, which was absolutely foolish. Â What was more, Trixie looked as though she was pregnant; an even more ludicrous idea. Surely they would have noticed such a change? She was living in a house full of midwives for goodness sake!
