knight x princess I guess, I enjoy them best in canon so I don't really have interest in many aus.

tbh I don't think Tamar would enjoy free days 😭 she strikes as someone who Needs Something To Do all the time, so what it would probably look like Tamar doing something for Alina (idk putting together furniture) while she just gets to chill, because unlike Tamar she can relax and be 'lazy.'

Number 5 (I think) how would they have met in canon, like an alternative encounter that you could imagine if the circumstances had been different ?

ooh okay, setting aside my somewhat silly au idea of Zoya sleeping with Alina at the beginning of the s&b trilogy instead of Mal or an au where Alina was taken to the Little Palace as a child and it's a childhood friends to lovers thing as I've already talked about those...hm

maybe a situation in which Mal and Alina are brought on to an expedition for some kind of amplifiers Mal to track and Alina as navigator? Obviously, Zoya would be involved but it wouldn't be the search for her amplifier. Alina could still be the Sun Summoner and it just wasn't discovered with her trip across the Fold or she could not be Grisha, up to you! but I imagine Zoya would probably see the cute mapmaker/navigator and be like "👀" and sleep with her, which leads to her falling first and Alina falling harder

in my baby sun summoner au, they meet when Zoya leaves the Darkling and joins Nikolai's side, where Alina and Mal have been part of Strumhond's crew and she's an inferni and Alina is one of the first people to accept Zoya and not mistrust her because she was the Darkling's favorite, which I don't think I've discussed before so!

2. favorite thing about this ship?

the way it recognizes that all the crows care about each other and have unique and interesting dynamics between all of them, not just the canon ships and I find even when people can accept polycrows, even if they don’t necessarily ship it themselves, they tend to be less canon ship centric and actually interested in other dynamics, ie. wylan matthias, kaz and wylan, nina and jesper, etc which is great for me because I get exhausted with how ship centric this fandom can be, especially with Kanej despite it being my favorite canon ship. I sometimes tag stuff polycrows I’m actually imagining in platonic context just so all the interaction doesn’t turn into a kanej post because without fail it will turn into “kaz only cares about inej” thing and I’m so tired. anyway sorry for that rant but tldr my favorite thing about polycrows is how ALL the crows and their dynamics get appreciated with it

3. Least favorite thing about this ship?

I don’t have anything really, I sometimes get really anxious about how I portray Wylan and the girls because I don’t wanna like ice him or anything but I also don’t wanna erase his sexuality and it doesn’t feel right to describe the way I ship polycrows to be “everyone’s in love but Wylan and the girls are just friends” because like,,, they do traditional romantic stuff together and they do romantic stuff together with other partners as well even if they aren’t romantically or sexually attracted to each other. idk this is a deeply personal worry of mine

4. How do you see this ship? Examples: "totally married", "besties who date sometimes for fun", "toxic exes that definitely shouldn't be 10 feet near each other".

you know funnily enough, polycrows is actually the ship I have the most traditional relationship dynamic in mind for, not completely traditional of course, you really can’t with the life goals Inej, Nina, and Matthias have, it would take them out of the house quite a bit but I do imagine marriage and kids in the future for polycrows lol
