Emerald Fennell’s career trajectory from actress to universally clowned-on directrix is so crazy bc I’ll see her in posts or yt videos and I’m like. Patsy Mount??? The dyke from call the midwife?????? My friend Patsy??????
The thing is a part of me will always be a bit of an Emerald Fennel defender solely because of the fact she was on Call the Midwife. Like, that’s my girl Patsy! She did lesbianism in 1960s London east end! She had gay sex in a nunnery!!!
my doomed midwife yuri T-T,
my take on that apple trend!!
Does anyone have the CtM Christmas Specials? 😭
I'm losing my mind trying to find the 2014/2015 ones

I can't believe they did that episode where Delia asks Patsy to go to a lesbian bar with her because "there will be women like us" and Patsy responds with "i don't want to be with women like us, i want to be with you", and she doesn't seem willing to discuss it any further
But in that episode Patsy treats a woman called Daisy who lives on a boat with her family, and when Daisy starts giving birth and Patsy can't get to her right away, the other women who live on boats with their families do what they can to help Daisy. And they tell her that it doesn't matter that they haven't met her before, they know what her life is like so they know her and they are already friends. Then later, when Daisy holds her baby, she asks Patsy to not cut the umbilical cord right away, because "there are worse things than to be a part of something bigger, even for just a little while"
So when the episode ends, Patsy and Delia enter the lesbian bar, clasp hands and dance together
save us patsy and delia save us
Surely the Call the Midwife 10th anniversary book is trolling us with that page spread.
(To be fair, the "special friendship" referenced is between Delia and Nurse Crane, the Champion of Lovesick Lesbians.)
