Elevate your Christmas feast with this smoky maple glazed ham. The combination of sweet maple syrup, tangy Dijon mustard, and smoky undertones will make this a holiday favorite.
Ingredients: 1 whole ham 8-10 lbs. 1 cup maple syrup. 1/2 cup Dijon mustard. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish.
Instructions: Get your smoker ready by heating it up to 250F 120C. Cut the ham's surface into diamond shapes that are about 1/4 inch deep. Mix maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Use a whisk to make the glaze. Use half of the glaze to brush on the ham, making sure to get it into the scored areas. Put the ham in the smoker and cook it for 4 hours, basting it every hour with the rest of the glaze. Take the ham out of the smoker and let it sit for 15 minutes before cutting it. Add some chopped fresh parsley on top and serve.
