Chris should've guessed something was funny when Mao asked to book a Baka Gaijin card. Mostly on account of it's Mao, who usually is up to something funny, but also because of the look he'd had when he asked. Only Mao'd tacked on "because you're so stressed," and he had been stressed, and the idea of this falling off his plate had been a relief.

Relaxing had been a mistake, though, because it meant he was relaxing at the bar when Zack's music hit out of nowhere. He squints at Mao, who's sitting next to him at the bar. Then he smiles, nice and slow, reaching over the bartop and pulling out…

Chris's music hits as Mao tosses him his belt.

"Jesus," Chris says.

"Have fun!" Mao replies, pushing him toward Zack. Who's not looking surprised, which means Chris is the only one this had to be a secret from for some reason. Chris squints back at Mao again. Mao waves. The bell rings.

Something's up. If there weren't, Mao could've just said hey, you should fight Zack this month. And, if Zack weren't busy with Young Punk business or doing a billion indies in America like he has been lately, Chris'd probably agree. He likes fighting Zack, that's not exactly something that somebody's gotta trick him into.

He doesn't have time to think about all that, though. One of the nice things about a match with Zack is that he doesn't have time to worry about other things, just how to slip out of some hold the madman probably came up with two seconds ago. Today's no exception, and in the time it takes to realize Mao's gotta be planning something Zack's got his arms twisted at an angle that hurts but also manages to crack out a knot he's had in his shoulders all day.

They tumble for a few minutes before Mao springs the second half of whatever this plan is. Chris's on his back, shoulder barely off the ground while Zack's sitting on his chest and doing fucked up shit to his wrist. It takes a second for Chris to even register it, he's too busy bucking his hips to the side to reverse their positions, but as he pins Zack's hands over his head he notices that the Chri-su chants have… suddenly dropped the r. Chris can't tell, but he'd bet his career he knows who started that.

Zack raises an eyebrow, somehow managing to shrug despite the angle he's having to twist himself into to keep his shoulders off the ground. Well, who are they to deny the people?

He leans forward, pressing his mouth to Zack's. He hears a wolf whistle over the crowd, one he's pretty sure he also knows the direction of. Zack seems to consider taking the grappling for dominance into the kissing territory before he relaxes into it, and Chris is barely aware as the ref decides that whatever this is isn't shocking enough to prevent him from counting a pin.
