The thing about chapter 5 is, contrary to what you are lead to believe while you’re playing it, Flowery is NOT fucking that dilf. He just really, really, wishes he was and wants you to think he is. And that’s way funnier.
Some RWBY characters ranked by how likely I think they still have a weapon in a modern AU
Ruby and Blake: the kind of teens to have a butterfly knife or something, which they get in trouble for bringing to school.
Sun: raised by Starr, still probably carries nunchucks everywhere. Gets in trouble for it. Never stops.
Emerald and Neo: they’re still in similar situations and so I think would still have weapons.
Yang and Mercury: their parents own a gun and they know how to use it.
Pyrrha: still doing competitive martial arts, but she wouldn’t bring anything with her on a daily basis. Whatever she uses (if she uses anything), it only ever is at home or at competitions.
Ren and Nora: they would know how to fight, but I don’t think they’d keep any weapons. Maybe unless you count, like, a bat in case of an intruder.
Everyone else: the rest of them I don’t think would ever have any reason to learn how to fight or use a weapon or even be around one in this kind of setting. Some of them would still be more equipped for it than others (Oscar is a farm hand, Weiss was probably at least taught self defense/how to get out of someone’s grip but maybe not much else).
