You clung from the creeping vines of the garden’s wall, studying the pattern of the ever-twisting, thick branches, calculating your next move when a voice interrupted your thoughts.

“My lady, are you in need of assistance of some kind?” The voice spoke from the behind you. Your face crinkled in frustration.

“No, I am quite fine, thank you.” You spoke, hands gripping the vines as your grip started to slip. “You may wait inside with all the other gawkers.”

The man bit back a laugh. “I.. will. But first, I’m curious. What is it you’re doing?”

You rolled your eyes. This man was awfully persistent, and god was it irritating. “Nothing.”

“You’re doing something.”

“I am not.”

“You are.”

“I am not.”

“You are!”

You huffed, hopping down from the vines. “If you must know, I’m trying to ascertain the best way to climb over the garden wall.” You still hadn’t turned to face him. He gave a small nod, as if to as ‘fair enough’, yet confusion still painted his features. “Climb- whatever for?”

“I believe he may be a beast.”

“A beast?”

“Or a troll.”

His face crossed with amusement. “Who are we discussing?”

“Oh, that is impertinent, none of your business,” You scoffed. There was a pause, as you contemplated your next words. “The King.”

That really got him, if he was amused before, he was thoroughly so now. You continued. “No one will speak of him. No one. Clearly he is a beast or a troll.” 

You continued to survey the wall, and your eyes lit up as you found the perfect path. “Ah! With a boost, I believe I can make it over—there.”

“Uh, one question. You do not like beasts or trolls? What he looks like matters?” He asked, taking a few steps closer to you. You shook your head.

“I do not care what he looks like, what I do not like is not knowing. Now please, grab here and boost. Make haste.” You patted your hips.

He smiled. “I have absolutely no intention of helping you.”

You paused, shocked. Shocked, but just as equally frustrated. You climbed down from the roots. “I am a lady in distress. You refuse to help a lady in distress?”

He smiled, looking you in your eyes. “I refuse to help a lady in distress when that lady is trying to climb a wall..” He paused. “So that she does not have to marry me.”

Your face fell, and all anger fizzled out. He was no beast, nor a troll. His features well complimented his face, and the way his gorgeous golden hair hit the light and fell over his eyebrows was slightly.. captivating. “I’m so..”

“No worries.” He spoke, his voice smooth like velvet. “I’m Thomas, and you must be Y/n. Princess Y/n.” You nodded slowly. “That was incredibly disrespectful of me.”

He brushed it off. “I’d much rather I know your worries, so I can address them. I would never want my queen to feel as though I am a beast.” He took your hand in his, kissing it softly. “You are free to do as you please. Though I do hope you no longer want to escape me.” 

A smile broke out on your face as you shook your head. “No.”

“Very well, shall we head back inside? Amongst the gawkers.” He spoke, his hand still in yours. You let out an airy laugh. 

“We shall.”

Ive been listening to audio dramas for... a few years now and I recently got 300 followers - which first of all: thank you! So I thought, what can I do to celebrate this achievement?

So I bring you my audio drama diary. This has everything I've kept up to date with, from (roughly) 2021. I started this diary only a year ago (i think) which is why there is only a 2026 banner.

Its so great to have something physical to show my progress into this little world of audio drama, and ive made so many new friends, which I didn't even think was possible! Thank you moots - especially @soph-the-podcast-nerd, @icarianpest, @five-a-battery, @moro-thekebab-noodles and @themodernkronos ! You've been a dream to talk to and the podcast recommendations i get from you all always brings me joy (and also chatting about non-podcast related things is amazing).
