Despite my mix feelings on Three Houses, there is still plenty to enjoy about it. Happy 5th anniversary!
My favorite will always be the Blue Lions.
Flayn is precious to me. Mercedes is best girl.
Barbossa is my favorite class in Three Houses (design wise).
Marianne is brings me joy and is my second favorite 3H character.
Crusher is the best Heroes Relic (and Thyrsus).
Blue Lions is best route.
I hate the TWSITD and think the Four Hounds from Engage are better than them.
Edelgard is a poor protagonist IMO, and is better as an antagonist.
My favorite part of Part 1, Byleth’s awakening.
Favorite Blue Lion’s moment? Dimitri’s redemption.
Favorite Verdant Wind moment? The fight against Nemesis.
Favorite Silver Snow moment? Edelgard’s final death is better handled here than in Verdant Wind.
Favorite Crimson Flower moment? …ummmmm… Rhea’s rage if you kill Seteth and Flayn… I guess. At least because Cherami Leigh killed it.
Speaking of which, Cherami Leigh and Chris Hackney (Dimitri’s VA) are the MVPs of the cast.
Favorite chapters? Chapter 17 of Azure Moon. Chapter 8 of part 1 (The Battle (not War) of the Eagle and Lion). Chapter 17 of Crimson Flower (ironically) and the final chapter of Verdant Wind.
Favorite House? Wasn’t it obvious.
Favorite OST: GOD SHATTERING STAR!
Least favorite House: Black Eagles.
Favorite Route: You already know.
Least favorite: Crimson Flower.
Favorite Ashen Wolf: Constance when not under the sun.
Favorite Golden Deer: Marianne
Favorite Black Eagle:…I am Ferdinand Von Aegir (R.I.P. Billy Kametz), if not him, then Hubert (surprisingly enough).
Favorite Blue Lion: if not Dimitri, then definitely Mercedes.
Least favorite Ashen Wolf: Don’t have one. Except Constance under the sun.
Least favorite Golden Deer: Leonie
Least favorite Blue Lions: Ingrid (but I do not hate her at all).
Least favorite Black Eagles: a tie between Dorothea and Bernadetta (though I lean towards Dorothea more).
Favorite Chruch/Staff: Seteth and Flayn
Least favorite Church/Staff: Manuela
Favorite character overall: Dimitri
Least favorite characters: TWSITD! And Bernadetta and Dorothea.
Favorite Class: Barbarossa (Claude’s exclusive class)
Least favorite: Mortal Savant (a shame, because it’s a good design overall).
Opinion on Byleth: It took Engage for me to like him. Let that tell you something.
Overall opinion on Three Houses: I think it’s a good game. And I can see why people like over Engage. I just think it’s overrated in many ways. And IMO, Engage’s story is far more interesting and bearable than Crimson Flower was. Regardless, I still hold this game and most of the characters in Fòdlan close to my heart.
Felix Hugo Fraldarius 💙 one of my favourite Blue Lions, I love his character and the way that he stands up to Dimitri throughout the route, he’s definitely Dimitri’s closest friend!
