⟢ He’s subtle. Very subtle. You can’t even tell. The only clue you’ll ever get is how his kisses seem to linger, how his hands stray further from the spots considered gentlemanly, how he holds onto you tighter like he doesn’t want to let you go.

⟢ He never goes further than that. He’s not very good at reading clues, and he would much rather rely on your verbal consent rather than just assume.

⟢ He wants it to be special—something you’ll always look back on fondly. Not only does it mean so much to you, it’s just as important to him. He doesn’t trust people easily, and the fact that he’s willing to bare himself to you is proof of how much you truly mean to him.

⟢ He’ll never admit it, but he wants it to be dramatic. Like wine and rose petals scattered around the room dramatic.

⟢ In actuality, however, it happens way before he thought it would. A particularly heated make-out session, and before he knows it, the two of you have migrated to his bedroom and he’s already asking if you’re sure.

⟢ The softest dom ever. Despite the fact that he’s on top and telling you what to do, he’s so sweet about it—endlessly comforting and reassuring. Always caressing and praising you. You mean so much to him. Why wouldn’t he treat you as such?

⟢ He’s so scared. Not in the traditional sense—he knows how this works. He’s a doctor, for Archon’s sake. But he’s scared he won’t be enough. He’s scared he won’t make it good for you. His stamina isn’t the best, and the last thing he wants is to disappoint you.

⟢ He knows you’re aware of his illness, but he’s still terrified you’ll be left wanting. He’s embarrassed. He says he wants to give you everything, yet struggles with something so basic.

⟢ He doesn’t avoid touch per se, but he abruptly pauses or pulls away when things get too heated. He wants you. Archons, he wants you—but what he doesn't want is to embarrass himself, or worse, disappoint you.

⟢ You initiate first. There’s only so much of these almost-touches you can handle. Besides, you’re aware he wants you too. You’ve been doing this limbo for ages, and you’re tired of waiting. Baizhu wants you too. You can tell. So why is he always pushing you away?

⟢ The reason soon becomes very clear when you finally get the guts to have a real conversation about it.

⟢ He tries brushing it off. Tries changing the topic and watering his feelings down. But when you look at him that way, he spills immediately. Not the nitty-gritty details—just the simple fact that he’s afraid. He doesn’t mean to. He’s usually a lot better at hiding his feelings, but the way you’re looking at him makes him want to be honest. Makes him want to give up being strong and just sink into the bountiful comfort you always seem to offer.

⟢ You take the lead the first time. On top—just to show him what it’s like, and to let him get used to the exertion.

⟢ Over the course of multiple endeavors with you, he gets used to it. Though he doesn’t give up his position as the bottom due to his exertion limits, commanding you becomes much easier.
