ack and one last idea lol (part three) - Kise as the Avatar with air nomad origins is perfectt b/c he is a gemini, and can copy skills, but because of his copy ability, my own atla knb idea about Kise is rather than being the avatar, he's just a really skilled airbender that's able to manipulate the other elements using air, like moving water, earth, and as long as he has a fire source near him, he can manipulate it using air. okayok I'll stop here sorry for spamming!!
Yeah haha I agree, I was thinking of adding to the post that if he weren’t the Avatar, he’d just be an airbender. This is where my basketball knowledge comes into play, though. Kise plays the small forward (my position!!). Small forwards are generally able to do anything asked of them and are very versatile. That’s why I made him the Avatar, because they have to be able to bend all four elements.Â

I totally agree though with your Midorima metal-bending idea, but I'd love to hear your thoughts bc I can't seem to think of the reason why haha. and Takao as an airbender is perfect~~
I think he’s simliar to Aomine in that he doesn’t really use lightning that much, kinda like Iroh. He has the ability to, but he doesn’t really need it. He’s kind of a reckless firebender tbh.Â
And for Midorima, I knew I definitely wanted him to be an earthbender. So one time I saw this analysis post about Kuvira and how she wears gloves all the time and only bends metal instead of earth because it’s purer and cleaner. And since Midorima is super crazy about keeping his hands in perfect condition, I think he would probably use metal more than earth.
I love your ATLA KNB crossover! I was curious about your line of thinking b/c while I totally see how Akashi would bend lightning, I personally think Aomine and Akashi should switch, especially because of how although Akashi is cold and calculating for lightning, his emperor eye can control the opposing players' movements which imo make him more inclined to bloodbending, and Murasakibara seems more earthbender type to me (non-metal bending) bc he's all about being unmoveable and strong (tbc...)
I see what you’re saying here, and I totally agree! Honestly I really just liked the picture of Aomine as a really powerful waterbender... and I feel like he wouldn’t ever really use his bloodbending unless he really really had to. And when I think of Akashi, I think of prestigious and fancy, which in turn makes me think of firebenders. I see what you’re saying with the emperor eye thing though!!
And as for Atsushi, yes, he could be a great earthbender because he doesn’t wanna move haha. In my extended headcanon though, I see him as the only bender in his family. Because of this, they never really bothered to get him a teacher so he had to find his own. And he found Himuro, who I think would be a very level-headed firebender, pretty uncommon tbh. Himuro was able to teach Atsushi a unique way of waterbender, more similar to that of a firebender than a waterbender. I made Mura a waterbender mostly for this, because I wanted them to be opposites, but I think him being an earthbender is also a really good idea!
