Like instead of rings of mushrooms or flowers,

They have rings of traffic cones that sit in the side walk and and those entitled enough to disobey the laws of the road;

The fae taking the appearance of a construction worker, although it’s not quite clear what exactly they do for construction.

Or sidewalk chalk rings that don’t wash away in the rain which take people who may “destroy” the rings or walk through them;
