#character struggles

Even though there's not very many high level Lidia players (and I'm not the biggest fan of XOs style, though it's undeniably effective), I'm thinking I might make her my main-main instead of Raven because even when playing her more defensively she's moving towards the opponent instead of backing up at high level. That's something I like about Bruce/Roger/Josie/Nina and I think something I'm struggling with getting better at with Raven, especially with how aggressive T8 is.

Just saying your character is good, doesn’t make them good. Good can mean many things to different people.

The key is whether your character thinks they’re good or not.

There are humble characters who think they are good, but don’t want to say so. There are characters who toot their own horn and tell everyone far and wide how good they are. There are characters who do bad things and still think they are good even though they did something that is obviously not good. 

Then there are characters who do bad things and know what they did is wrong and wonder if they are good or bad. Their shame weighs on them like a boulder. They constantly question who they are and struggle with whether they want to save or condemn another character they hate. They hate themselves for thinking wrong about someone when it is completely justified. They are afraid to show anger or pain because they are afraid they’ll look like the bad guy rather than the victim. They allow themselves to be used by a toxic person and think they are the one who is the abuser. They murder in self defense and are haunted daily, dreaming of blood dripping from their hands.

ooc: Though one thing I struggle to understand about Yui is why she's so willing to give her life for others. I couldn't imagine ever doing that because I value my life and I would feel guilt for the pain I would cause for those who love me. What makes her so willing to sacrifice herself? The core of it is that she's dying to save them. Even sometimes in the game when she is killed, she prays to God to make her death leave something behind for the one she loves.

Maybe it's because they wipe out anyone else in Yui's life and make themselves the only one that matters. If one of them takes away everyone, and Yui only has one person who will care if she lives or dies, and she thinks they want her to die and that it will do some good if she does...is that her way of thinking?

Ah! But doesn't that mean she has such little self-worth?!
