Thinking about this specific covers and screaming into a pillow.
This fandom truly forgot about mass murders and coup d'états for one minute the moment these covers dropped. I get it, I'm one of them.

Ivankov said eat the rich!!
very shortly under the cut 1083 spoilers
Oda's written a morally grey chapter. I mean, he's good at that, and he often does that, but I think he wants us to question the actions of the Revolutionaries, and whether the means justifies the end in each and all cases.
But, yeah, clever to bring the fighting to the Celestial Dragons turf where the government forces cannot defend their overlords because the land and overlords cannot be part of collateral damage. Those kinds of parallels are golden. The Celestials too incompetent and soft to see what danger that puts them in.
I'm glad that Karasu's fruit is the soot-soot fruit, and how he uses it—appearing and disappearing, not clear. Don't get me wrong. I want to the Celestial Dragons taken from power too, but the victors all too often become a copy of those they usurped. The Revs might be sanitised as the story unfolds, but I like that—at least for me—Oda's asking me to question as well as to maybe cheer.
Plus, this cover is golden. Doflamingo caring enough to provide a soft feather coat for the fallen chick, but offering only a band-aid for the lump on its head. I think he probably was competent at basic first aid for the kids in the Family, but maybe not (and with Rosi). I like either idea, although it might softly parallel the rescue my brother, kill my father kinda vibe he has going. And great to see him again!
My analysis is not as short as I thought it might be.
One piece chapter 1083 thoughts
Soot huh? I def thought it was a crow/bird speak ability. How emo of him
Oh they survived; like yes vía cover stories we knew they made it out of enies lobby. I just wasn’t expecting all of them to have been CP0 promoted
(Side note; I wonder if the kabuki lion dude was in wano)
GET HIS ASS VIVI! Strawhat material right there
Some random thoughts about the latest chapters. I know it's a bit late for 1083 but still... I'm also adding some thoughts about 1084 as well.
Fujitora is amazing with his meteors. I mean his powers are so strong and destructive in the same time. But he can't use it like he wants. He might destroy many lives around.
He uses his Observation Haki to detect people around him. He can't put the difference between humans except when they got a special power like Sabo.
I also believe because there isn't any difference in strength between "average" humans and Celestials, he can't detect their presences clearly.
Yet, I guess he really doesn't care because he doesn't seem to like rotten individuals. That's why he's so fine with crushing the Revolutionaries with a meteor.
He might tell Akainu because the Commanders were so strong he had no other choice in the matter. A meteor was the only way. And yet I also believe this would also end the reign of Celestials as well.
He's the only one who can use the excuse such a power was needed to destroy those people. He can also claim killing Celestials was an accident because he can't put the difference between his soldiers and Celestials.
In 1084, we also got wonderful people.
Sai and Leo, I can say how much I love you both!
Leo is of course there for the cuteness. He somehow got the same role as Chopper in this case. He's cute but he also can be very dangerous when needed. People should think before attacking him, just like Chopper.
Sai is there as a guard of course and a representant of his own family. He does perform a good job at keeping people safe and alive there. He doesn't hesitate to assault people when needed whoever they are.
I admit I just wanted Leo to destroy Charlos. He's someone from another specie. He's not a human you see. But I guess a special task force was needed to crush Charlos for once.
The combination of their strengths was amazing. It's a good display of team work! Luffy, keep looking at people like this! We need more of them in the world!
Of course Charlos was crushed by two powerful individuals. I'm just disappointed he wasn't sent into a deeper hole than Big Mom and Kaido, but that just me. I guess he's to weak for the effort.
Last but not least in my list...
Bonney...
She is cute and awesome in the same time. She knows everyone in the Revolutionary Army. She even kees tabs about them. She seemed like a fangirl who gathers lots of intel about her favorite people.
My personal silly thought was she collects all the goodies sold by the Revolutionary Army in a similar fashion from Barto. But I guess they aren't the type to do such an advertisment.
She does trust Sabo directly because of that. She knows how dangerous he can be. She even calls him a radicalised revolutionary. I feel she's going to tell Luffy how much he resembles Sabo.
For a dangerous pirate, Luffy is indeed very cheerful and doesn't seem to mind what's happening to him. It's so nice to see Sabo giving intel to people he trusts. He knows the difference between people.
Besides, I have to add I am a bit jealous of Bonney, she's got to be carried like a princess by Sabo! Such a lucky girl!!!

1083 is the same theme but just less impactful than Buggy & Shanks. At least from the angle I’m looking at things. So this will be a short one. Revolutionaries are the hard thread to examine because of how fundamentally similar they are to Kiku’s side of Wano. To the point initially Bakura Town had people wondering if she was a secret Revo. Still feel one option is always a cover story where she seeks them out. A little like Koala, subtly building up their group as we get closer to them being a regular part of the story. If it was just Sabo’s story running parallel and Wano’s ending gave any closure over adding mystery right up til the finale I’d even be willing to say her fate was to be a precursor like Cindry to Sabaody.
Either way, same stuff we’ve already talked about in this intermission. Just happening in one more plotline, never saw this siege side of Iva before. You have a giant okama calling Ryokyugu a pervert as he’s restrained by hierarchical bullshit. A cadre of 9 Knights. The structure of the chapter is what I like the most. This is the basic idea; I see the potential the main story can swing into needing to play this “fill in the gaps” game for the Straw Hats. Bring out a hidden side that’ll put all of the end of Wano’s peculiarities in place. Show us something else significant happened that wasn’t part of the Kabuki play. If we do that, Okiku is the one served up on a silver platter to build it around. Everything is in her favor for that, including being the exact archetype you tend to see it with.
At this point, this intermission and seeing all the other plotlines take center stage is cool. But the longer it goes on the more I’m wondering what the situation on Egghead looks like when we get back. Cutaway for 1-2 chapters and you can jump back into the next beats. At this point? I think it’d be cool to echo the day/night element. We know the incident happens tomorrow, so let’s see the scary night in the lab as the situation devolves. Goes much longer? We could pull something like seeing the conclusion to the incident and walking back. Cycle these side stories reacting then explain it back on Egghead. Or like, cut to the Straw Hats in dire straits and resolve it in a way that would require doubling back to illuminate. That hunch gets stronger the more I see the narrative structure used in these parallel stories.
Not my favorite psychopath being cute... this makes me feel some type of way.
(I have a bird so this feels personal)
So I might have had an interest in C-Drama lately. And I got an idea that could explain Sabo's reaction in chapter 1083
Namely, the phoenix being associated with the emperess.
cf the Phoenix crowns
So Sabo doesn't like being called the Emperor.
Because those two are the true Emperor with his Emperess :
