I follow @beanghostprincess who posts about sanuso all the time, which gave me the idea of going through the color spreads to collect all the moments where the boys are together as a fun little project. This led to me finding a HUGE collection of art from the color walks I'd never seen before, so this little project became an hours-long rabbit hole, and I found some extra sanuso on the way. Ivankov has officially dethroned Bon Kurei as the character with the most annoying dialogue to read, which is a considerable accomplishment.
For one, he pronounces his ‘I’ and ‘you’ pronouns with a ‘V’ at the start, so they’re ヴァナタ/vanata and ヴァターシ/vataashi instead of anata and watashi. For another thing, he seems to add, just, a bunch of extraneous sounds onto and into his words, especially ぶる/buru, which is normally a suffix/auxiliary verb that means like... ‘acting like/putting on airs’?
In any case, reading it makes me want to slam my head into my keyboard.
