It Stops!
Ok, it runs, and the first night it ran all night. But now I find the Pi sitting idle. Somehow it has stopped mining and restarted, or the mining program has exited. I'm not sure which or how or why.
I find an empty desktop and my cgminer windows closed. 2 choices here. The mining program has closed itself or the Pi has rebooted. I'm going with number 2 for the moment. I have a back lit keyboard and I turn the light off to save a few precious milliamps. When I come back to find my Pi sitting, I find my keyboard backlight back on. I tested this by pulling the plug on the Pi with the keyboard off and when it powers back up the back light is on.
So now I need to find a way to autostart my mining program. Watchdog programs seem to difficult to setup but Cron seems easy enough to do.
So my next effort at learning Linux will be finding a good tutorial online and making feeble attempts in setting up Cron.
