Training Log: January 27 to February 2
Hello, hello! Last week was the first time I trained entirely non-running in... a very long time. It was strange, but I found myself working hard, and I benefited at the end of the week because my ankle has improved quite a lot. Itâs looking like Iâll be entirely off crutches in a couple weeks and very conservatively progressing back into running!
My training log is a little late, sorry friends! Anyways, without further ado...
Monday, January 27: Rest Day
Didnât do a whole lot on Sunday so I felt a little meeehh for a rest day. Really itching for some activity.
Tuesday, January 28: 1500 m swim
Short little morning swim! I think in the future Iâll make these interval workouts.
Wednesday, January 29: 10 min on the indoor rower (1824 m) + strength session
Row machine to destroy my arms and back, whatâs not to love. Strength work is below!
Thursday, January 30: 35 min on the spin bike + PT exercises and some core work
Felt a little discomfort in my ankle but no pain, which was great! Found that watching netflix on the bike really makes the time fly by.
Friday, January 31: 10 min on the indoor rower (1952 m) + strength session
Already bringing down that rowing pace, I might have to permanently introduce this into my cross-training come summertime training.
Saturday, February 1: Home yoga, PT exercises, and some core work
Kept it nice and chill at home :) Feeling the urge to start working on my headstands again once this ankle is all healed up!
Sunday, February 2: 1 hour on the spin bike + 2500 m swim
Wowie... well, I definitely simulated my long run well enough. Solid hour of sweating on the spin bike, followed by a long, slow 2500 m swim. Nearly 2 hours of cardio!
