Aetherdrift preview season in MTG and honestly, I think "racing" is a terrible genre in tabletop games, be it TTRPGs, boardgames, or CCGs.
Fundamentally, most games are a race of some sort - the goal of the scenario is to reach a target number/space before your opponent, over a series of turns. The issue is that the fun part of a race is the kinetics of the experience. In a real-life race, or a good video game simulation, you have that tactile sense- the feeling of rapid motion, traction, maneuvering, shifting gears, the controller in your sweaty grip, the pain in your feet and the pounding in your chest, the wind in your hair... all things that you can't do in a tabletop game.
It's one reason most games seek engagement in their number-shifting system with a layer of fictional insulation- something as immediate as tactical violence or as broadscope as resource logistics. Because whenever I've sat down to a racing-themed game, I feel like I'm experiencing nothing but the numbers-go-up of the game.
Perhaps why the better racing games actually turn into tactical miniature war games on a donut

so this system is based on cats coat patterns as cats are my special interest.
i am open to requests for specific genders and specific coat patterns as long as its one or the other :3 this includes multigenders btw!!!
a solid coat color implies that you are cis while a tabby coat implies you are trans, although you may use whichever flag you like best! colorpoint implies you took a long time to accept yourself, or that youve been that identity for a long time. a dilute color mainly implies you feel your presenting your gender in a non conforming manner except for brown/caramel where they are unrelated labels.
this is just part one of many of what im calling the catcoat gender system or CCGS :3
black coat ; any queer person who presents as masculine in a male way
blue coat ; any queer person who presents as masculine in a female or intersex way
grey coat ; any queer person who presents as feminine in a female way
white coat ; any queer person who presents as feminine in a male or intersex way
orange coat ; any queer person who presents as androgynous in a intersex way
cream coat ; any queer person who presents as androgynous in male or female way
brown coat ; any queer person who presents as xenine in any way
caramel coat ; any queer person who presents as aporine in any way

oh hey I made things! alt arts for the card game Netrunner
Target and Costco are no longer carrying Pokémon or Sports Cards starting May 14th due to the amount of physical altercations. Walmart, however, will stay the course noting "We've dominated the 'Lowlife Adult Public Fist Fights' space for going on 30 years and we're glad to see we're going back to dominating that market. We plan to double our fights by months end and, God willing, we should be able to triple out old lady knockouts."
