My first silhouette target.
My shooting experience has exclusively been within the context of hunting. I grew up having to do so quite literally because we would go hungry outside of school otherwise. Recurve bows and cross bows are what I’m used to, and some pretty novice use of rifles. Handguns are new territory aside from shooting cans once in a blue moon when I was younger (soooo, no experience).
Got inspired by @knightanddaytactical to go ahead and just get my CCDW license and start putting time into getting confident with not just feeding myself but possibly having to defend myself or community, should that unfortunately become necessary. I live in a constitutional carry state, but still think the trainings and process for obtaining a license are invaluable as a beginner & obv state-to-state can vary on reciprocity.
