I just attended an online service by Beit Simchat Torah, CBST, an LGBGQ Synagogue in NYC, my first Shabbat service! It was a transgender and nonbinary Pride Shabbat service, with focus, of course, on Black Lives Matter, police brutality, COVID-19, and the "Pharoah in the white house", in the words of the Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum. I have never been so sure I have to convert to Judaism, and I've never been so sure of the family I want to convert into. I may not know the words or the songs, but I feel them in my heart, and I know where I'm going once I move to NYC
I made #trans #challah with @jewishqueeryouth at #CBST! It has cinnamon and raisins for extra sweetness in tough times. #transgender #transisbeautiful #girlslikeus #lgbtq #shabbat #shabbatshalom #hannahsimpson #resist #protecttranskids #protecttransyouth #transrights #jewish #bread #lovewins #nyc @realdonaldtrump @mike.pence (at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah - CBST)
Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, the senior rabbi at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah - CBST in NYC (the LGBTQ+ Synagogue), is hosting a 30 minute series on the psalms 10:00-10:30 AM EST starting next week via zoom.
From next Monday, 3/16 through Thursday, 3/19, and from Monday, 3/23 through Thursday, 3/26, from 10-10:30 am, Rabbi Kleinbaum will lead a 30-minute study on a different psalm each day, starting with Psalm 1. Please have a translation with you. No Hebrew required. We'll end with a healing prayer.

Hi! I was wondering if you know of any services that will be live streamed on Yom Kippur? I'm worried about not being able to attend services this year as it is my first time not being home for Yom Kippur. Thanks so much and Gmar Chatima Tova!
Hiya @decorative-cabbage!
Although there are several good streams out there, I suggest Congregation Beit Simcha Torah in New York City. CBST is *the* LGBTQ+ Synagogue of New York– and what an incredibly inspiring, inclusive, and wonderful experience you will have with them!
