Haven’t finished any real art lately so here’s some of my higher rated things from pictionary-esque drawing app, Cat Painter!
I’m currently addicted to Cat Painter. It’s like Pictionary but with really cute cats that give you their drawings and you have to guess what they are. You can collect points or coins on the drawings you submit for decorating your studio, win awards, get more Appurrntices (the puns are adorable) and while you can spend money on buying everything, it’s optional.
It’s obviously made for children, but to me, that’s part of the charm. It lacks the competitive elements that can be stressful for some people, but it challenges you to get creative with the b&w pixel brush as you draw the themes. You can pick easy ones like animals or objects to more abstract concepts like a journey or emotions. Your work can be submitted to contests which you win based on how easy it was to solve or you can free-draw and display your work in your gallery or sell it for 10 points, which add up rather quickly! New items are unlocked as you progress.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars, mainly because of the Ads you have to watch once or twice, but that’s the only way it can remain free. For a dollar you can remove them. Also the contests take a day to be judged, so if you’re impatient, the contest part might not be for you. All in all it’s a cute game to kill time with and I love how it doesn’t force you to spend money to get past parts of it like too many games on the market these days.
