Automatic art (i.e. using my #pareidolia to "see" images in paint smudges that aren't really there) apparently unconsciously inspired by all the women's basketball images I've been seeing in the news lately?

Unusual composition, yes. It's kind of my take on outsider art + surrealism & basically just weirdness 😅

The peach/flesh-colored panel on the right is filled with all sorts of faces/hidden images/optical illusions. There's even a cat if you look hard enough 😽

Also, to me (if you turn the art one click to the left/counterclockwise), the bottom half of the art (in the orange/blue/white area) looks to me like a man wearing sunglasses in a "Putin Putting On Sunglasses" kind of way?

But I'm kinda crazy like that 😆

Painted using a different type of paint - instead of various brands of "heavy body" acrylics (which I usually use), this is Golden's "OPEN Slow Drying Acrylics," which is thinner & does indeed take several days to dry when laid on thick.

I don't even know why I drew this?

Probably I ran across a photo of Putin putting on sunglasses that I thought was cool & so... 🤷🏻‍♀️

It never sold, so I eventually decided it needed more ink & it still didn't sell, so I gave up 😅

But I still like the original better 😢

Anyway, I was going through some old art & decided to continue the series (which wasn't a series until I decided to continue it 😆), & so I will be releasing the next installment soon 👍

Little Missy is SO in love with her Leopard print 🐆 cat toy that she drags it over to her favorite sleeping spot & sleeps on top of it ☺️
