It’s easy to put people on pedestals when they only show you the good that happens to them.

Desire is a strange concept to fathom. It seems the power of our cravings is more potent than what physically surrounds us. Putting our emotions towards what is intangible is the most fascinating to us for an unknown reason. Even if when the best people or things are in our life, we still seek the untouchable. Perhaps that’s our impracticality getting in the way of our logic, but still, find ourselves stumbling over the aspirations rather than focusing on reality. - Casey Paganelli ©

1. Pouring your heart out to the wrong person won’t do you any salutary if you’re trying to disregard the person you’re meant to be in a relationship. 2. After leaving high school, promises others made to you, may be neglected. 3. Freshmen year of college changes people and while others chose to remain faithful to themselves. Those who do stay themselves are not “dull” they may have grown up faster than the others encountering new experiences. 4. The tedious work you are required to do, you should be put in 100% of effort because it’ll screw you over in the future. 5. Responsibility is reassuring if you can handle it. Sometimes it is launched at you from your parents in which makes have to adapt abruptly to adulthood or life in general. 6. Don’t do adult ventures if you cannot handle the consequences. Mommy and daddy won’t always be there to save the day. 7. Dropping a friendship or relationship doesn’t mean you don’t love them. People grow apart, but the love remains, even afar. 8. People don’t change. You’ll only begin to notice components of them that you didn’t know existed under their facades. 9. Being skeptical will always be more beneficial than being naive. 10. Making mistakes gives you the opportunity to reflect and resolve an issue. Not a justification to keep misbehaving. 11. Don’t say or promise something to someone when not knowing the certainty of your word. 12, Don’t say you believe in an idea considerably if you’re only going to contradict yourself by opposing it later. 13. Ghosting or avoiding conflict won’t help anyone. For sure not you! 14. Admit when you’re incorrect when someone calls you out, and you realize they’re right. You’ll look like an idiot if you decide to stand by your arrogance. 15. Persuading friends and family away from their ambitious dreams or goals says more about you then it does about them. 16. Life is not black and white. Grey areas do not only subsist within the brain.

There was a major juxtaposition between him and I yet, we still somehow managed to love each other; despite our contrastive personality types.

⁣You are the hero that your future self will need.

I have reminisced about all the memories that have kept my heart beating through 2020, contemplated the hypothetical risks I should have taken in the past, and realized the small risks that I feared were worth taking. So here's your sign to reach out to the people you have to miss spending time with, even if it's been years. Tell the people you love how important they are to you because your vulnerability might be their motivation to get out of their funk or wake them up from the comfort of living in their sorrows. Instead of waiting for the right people to support you, become a better person for yourself that you and others can depend on. Let go of settling for people who only contact you out of boredom or convenience, but reach out to people whom you know will always cherish the way you made them feel. Don’t continue to create heaven and hell for yourself based on what you’re feeling because of your circumstances. You may be a victim due to your situation, but refuse to stay one by being proactive in the new year. So much of the time, you get lost in nostalgia, but why not create better memories despite the hardships you have endured?

If something or someone empties you, refuse to keep being their oxygen tank.

You cannot waste your life waiting around for the wrong people to love you the way you deserve to be loved.
