These mini quiche canapé tarts are perfect for serving as finger food on a platter. They're easy to make and incredibly flavorful, featuring a savory filling of eggs, cheese, and ham or bacon, all nestled in flaky puff pastry crusts.
Ingredients: 1 sheet of puff pastry. 4 eggs. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 1/2 cup grated cheese such as cheddar or Gruyre. 1/4 cup diced ham or bacon bits. Salt and pepper to taste. Chopped chives or parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into small squares or circles, depending on the size of your platter. Line each cavity of the platter with the puff pastry squares or circles. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, grated cheese, diced ham or bacon bits, salt, and pepper until well combined. Pour the egg mixture into each puff pastry-lined cavity of the platter, filling them about three-quarters full. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tarts are puffed up and golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped chives or parsley, if desired, before serving.
